Bleach took my heart this episode. Not Byakuya man😭

Aizen is such a boss. I love that Kubo kept him relevant and didn’t let the new big bad completely overshadow Aizen. Aizen is a whole other problem on his own. And as we just found out, he can use Kyoka Suigetsu without openly activating it.. He’s really fused with his Zanpakuto like he said he did before he got sealed. Freakin crazy.

Bleach fans: we love bleach, but nothing is surpassing episode 6 in the tybw Aizen, Studio pierrot and Kubo: allow us to introduce episode 7

When Yhwach says the Gotei 13 died with them 1000 years ago he means the hardcore, savage, get the job done by any means or sacrifice attitude employed by the first generation is the true version of soul society's protectors. They were the ones worth fear and respect. He is implying that the years of peace, morals, and kindness made the Gotei 13 soft and weak and not worth worrying about

This episode was so damn hype. Idk what it is about Ichigo, but he plays the hero best like none other and it doesn’t even feel forced, it’s just how he is. ICHIGO IS HIM.

The despair in Ichigo's face when his Zanpakuto was cut, actually saddened me. All he wanted was to protect his friends, and he failed. Had Aizen not disrupt Ywhach sense's, Ichigo probably would've died.

Now you know why Aizen is so interested in Ichigo.

The added flashback of all the original gotei 13 really caught me off guard. Now I want to see them all in action cuz those designs are 🔥

Byakuya talking to Ichigo while his spiritual pressure was rising to the point where the rain was being turned in to stream with out even touching him gave me chills

My son born in the dark, it is kind of like a king calling all of his family his sons/daughters even if they aren’t directly his sons or daughters. Since it showed there that his mother was a Quincy, Yhwach sees him as like a long lost child of his Quincy race

If you guys remember back when Ichigo was fighting Aizen he was about to say that Ichigo is special because he is a a human and a ... But Isshin cut him off before he finished his sentence. Now we know what Aizen was really going to say.

This episode was full of fan service to manga readers especially😭we got to FINALLY see the original Gotei 13 said to be the strongest iteration and brutal. Then we get the eye candy of Ichigo Vs Yhwach... I'm speech less...

Man was this an emotional ride. This episode truly managed to make me cry a few times. Emotional masterpiece of an episode. Wow Chainsaw Man is 10/10, but Bleach is my favorite anime this season. And I honestly didn't expect that. It's just been incredible in both action and feels...

the episodes getting better and better studio pierrot is peaking every episode. the passion the staff have for this anime is undeniable

When Yhwach said the 13 Court Guard Squads died 1000 years ago with the first Quincies, he meant it metaphorically as Yamamoto would grow "weak" in his eyes. After the first Quincy Shinigami war, Yamamoto and the 13 squads would become dedicated to peace and justice which, in Yhwach's eyes, is weakness. Yamamoto in his younger years was a monster like Yhwach said, not in terms of power level but just how ruthless he was. It was the same for his first generation 13 squad captains from 1000 years ago, all of them were bloodthirsty killers of their era, not honorable captains like in modern times. Unohana, one of the original captains from that time period, will have her backstory explained in a few episodes and you'll see her true self.

That moment between Ichigo and Byakuya was both wonderful and gut-wrenching because that’s pretty much the end of their relationship. Byakuya once saw Ichigo as a despicable invader, who spat on the traditions of the Soul Society. And now, he sees him as a fellow combatant and a friend. That is the reason why Byakuya has the best character development in all of Bleach, and will always be my favorite character.

Byakuya's voice actor did an amazing job with his scene.

The first big twist of several in that arc...Ichigo and his relation with the Quincy...I really love how they show the Blunt vene in anime form, it's way more interresting than the manga form ! Also that first Gotei 13 squad looks amazing !!

Kubo foreshadowed Ichigo being a Quincy in the very first episode of Bleach, theres a scene where Ichigo is laying on his bed and his bed sheets have a giant Quincy cross on them, also remember when Rukia was trying to give Ichigo her powers at the start of Bleach but Ichigo "took" all of them...well Quincies can absorb Reishi....Aizen knew Ichigo was half Quincy that's why he told Ichigo before Isshin interrupted him"You're half human and half-", theres much much more little foreshadow moments through tout Bleach but some havent been revealed yet so I wont say them

Ichigo actually used blut vene in earlier episodes like when he fought kenpachi and “got revived” or when he fought renji the first time and when he was about to lose his wounds closed up and he felt no pain from them

This anime is in its own category. Perfection only begins to describe what this is. Calling it a masterpiece is an insult because it has transcended that definition. This is the magnum opus of all anime.

I won't be surprised if bleach wins best score/music in the anime awards, shiro sagisu is going hard with these OSTs, and its definitely on par and can rival the likes of hiroyuki sawano and yuki kajiura

As much as I'm enjoying the other anime in the fall, Bleach TYBW is in a different league at the moment the 10 year wait was worth it, the animation quality, the story, music, directing/pacing and voice acting are all god tier

In case you are not aware, the original Gotei 13 did not appear in the manga. That scene at the beginning was very cool. I am editing my reaction right now. Bleach episodes keep getting better and better. I am hoping to see more new information and scenes similar to the original Gotei 13. Hopefully some more insane battles that did not happen in the manga.

This was a monumental moment in the manga reading this 8 years ago, ive seemed to have forgotten the majority of it so watching the show is even more enjoyable this show never seems to disappoint with story telling. The first-generation captain backstory was great anime only added scene as well as the inital clash with ichigo and yuha was also an anime only scene

5:22 it was a metaphorical saying, Yhawch said that the Gotei 13 “died” with the Quinces a thousand years ago in the way that they had just gotten weaker after the Quincy Extermination war, the original captains who founded the 13 squads were said to be the strongest gen of the Gotei 13 because at the time, they were made up of the most vicious, bloodthirsty and psychotic criminals soul society had ever known and they were so violent that they managed to annihilate the previous army of Yhwach easy, but after the war, the captains basically mellowed out and became less vicious as they were replaced with less violent replacements, that while a good thing, started weakening the organization as the standards of the captains began leaning towards peacekeeping rather than fighters….. In Yhawch’s perspective, this was the “death” of the gotei 13 as they slowly got “weaker” being tied down by morals, kindness and peacetime that begun to slowly drain their “strength” as the strongest group of soul reapers…..

This might be long, but it will give you more context/clarification without spoilers. So to give some clarifications, what we saw at the beginning was the original/first 13 captains, as mentioned they were ALL blood thirsty killers posed as good guys (picture current Zaraki Kenpachi but dialed somewhere between 11-20 out of 10 when it comes battle junkies/killers) . But over the years the head captain took a more peaceful approach and 13 captains and role of soul society became more about honor, justice, duty, etc (also the original 4 familes including yoruichi ancestor is part of the original 13 captains, along with ichigo dad's bloodline, and byakuya ~ last two are speculated). Anyways when he says the original 13 captains died with the Quincy 1000 years ago, he means their strength and ability to do anything (implies they arnt rutheless/blood thirsty enough/strong to do anything about it). He currently see the 13 as bunch of weaklings/cosplayers, and only a few ppl a threat aka the special weapons. Back to original 13, kubo dropped a color picture of them last week i'll attach a twitter link in the replies but if it doesnt work you can ask someone in discord to link it, it made the rounds for all the manga ppl. Also there's a potential for a sequel arc, but you won't see it in anime form anytime soon. Kubo dropped like a 50 page one-shot last year pretty much setting up a premise of a sequel story lines x-years past this current arc (leaving the number out to not be spoilery). Essentially it will involve Hell (like the movie). The reason why Hell is significant that when captains "die" they cant be put back into the cycle of soul society then go to earth and vice versa. They have to much spiritual pressure they will break the balance that they protect. So captains get sent to Hell when they die, and since the potential (un-written arc) involves Hell, ppl are speculating we will see the original captains at the minimum. if kubo decides to expand on the one-shot, which he might.

It's not literal "the thirteen court gaurd squads died with us 1000yrs ago" he just means the current 13 are nothing compared to the originals because if they were they wouldn't be in the situation they are in Also "My son born in the dark" means Ichigo is a quincy born without any other quincy knowing he was born

Something that a commenter pointed out is that when Ichigo disappeared after arriving. It was because he didn't use a flash step/shunpo like a Shinigami but it was a Sonido!!! Something only the Hollows use!!!

He just gave a whole speach about how during the war the 13 captains were a bunch of savage killers BUT when they won the war they became soft, peace loving and they had more things to protect now aka the savage nature of the captains "died" with the Quincies in Juha Bach (Yhwach) eyes. Just like he said about yama that a 1000 years ago in yama's eyes everyone was just like ash to him but now he refuses to let a human to heal his arm. So he meant that their savage killing nature and strength died that day, just like a soldier who already gave up on the war before it even began in a sense he already died(but is still alive). The OG Gotei 13 was just brutal massacering the Quincies. And the Quincies returned the favour in this episode really came full circle.

Back in one of the earlier episodes, probably episode 5, right before that Stern Ritter sealed away Ichigo, Kiske was saying something alluding to his(Ichigo's) bloodline/powers but he got cut off when the Stern Ritter got back up and attacked them from behind. They're have been hints to this secret since the new season started.

the ichigo reveal that hes a half quincy and aizen knew about it since ep1 thats why he chose ichigo to be his stepping stone. its really coming down to the main/real plot or story of bleach its proly one of the best foreshadowing ive seen in bleach

If you think about it, most kings think of their subjects as their children which the line "my son" comes in place and "born in the dark" meaning Ichigo not knowing his own background

I think yhwach meant about “13th squad members died with as a long time ago” meant about how the old ways of the 13th squad died with them considering how the current 13th squad handles things on the current time

What yhawch meant by saying “they died with us” is that the old 13 captains were stronger and that this current group is nothing even close so when he says they died with us he meant that the soul reapers got soft since they last fought so in his eyes they died

I remember that in chapter 296 of the anime when Aizen was telling ichigo that it was all part of his plan, he mentions that he is human and... That's when ichigo's father arrives and interrupts him, so with this chapter we confirm that Aizen was going to tell him that he was a Quincy or part Quincy because because of his father he is shinigami and he became half vizard/arrancar/holow/vastolorde so Let's see what else is missing. (The aforementioned does not count as a spoiler because I have not said anything that has not already been seen).

Told you. Ichigos mom was a Quincy. Father was a soul reaper. Ichigos zanpaktou is a hollow. Hence why he never had spiritual pressure. Because Ichigo had too many different molds to choose from. Also the white hollow is Ichigos bankai/zanpaktou. The other guy is the Quincy memory/blood of ywbach. Hence why he said”bring you in and retrain you slowly” and showing up the way he did. Also why ywach refers to all the quincies as his kids. They all get their powers from him.
