Even if kenpachi falls, he fell after ichigo passed out bleeding out. He was still awake to give a finishing blow meaning you have to give it to kenpachi. If it was luffy this would be a different story

But Ichigo still "won". Plus, Zangetsu explained already that he purposely has held Ichigo back to prevent him from utilizing his full abilities. It's different than Kenpachi's subconscious limitations.

I remember when Ichigo first fought Renji in the human world and Pat brought up the fact how it's like Sukuna is inside Ichigo because of that evil look Ichigo had. Now y'all see the similarities with this and Jujutsu kaisen with the creator being inspired from Bleach. You see evil Ichigo inside his mind just like Sukuna (evil version of Itadori) inside Itadori.

So fun! Pure joy rewatching this, and seeing your reactions. Kenpachi is def one of my fave characters in anime. He's so broken it's stupid. If you pay attention to that fight, you see he was only using one hand, lol. He was still holding back. I haven't heard Jiraiya's voice actor as Kenpachi in the Eng dub before. I like his Japanese version too.

Soul society arc is peak bleach. I can’t say I like anything after that as much. The story, characters, and battles really shine in this arc.

That was the whole point of going to the soul society yk? and for wellz in this case to be rooting for kenpachi (the villain at this point in the story) who just got introduced instead of the main character is just weird that’s all.

@@WulfLemus it's mostly because in your average shonen/battle anime we know the mc isn't going to die. So, rooting for Kenpachi here is just more so out of interest for a cool character. Also, sometimes the mc needs to take an L every now and then. It'd be boring if they just won all the time.
