My dog, named Ichigo, passed today. I definitely teared up seeing this reaction when Rukia realized Ichigo was there protecting her. I feel like I needed to see this scene again. It was some consolation thank you.

Ichigo’s bankai is still one of the hypest moments I’ve ever seen in an anime. Before I started Bleach, all I’d heard was how much Bleach fell off, or how it was mid. When I got to this fight it made me realize just how dumb it is to not watch something just because a lot of people bash it. If you think something’s interesting, give it a try and watch it even if people say it sucks.

When Morita (Ichigo’s VA) says Bankai. C’mom is just from another level no one can beat that entonation in other languages. And the 1st Bankai will always be in my heart, so freaking amazing moment. And I have watch Bleach like 3 times already and with Nick the 4th 😂

I finally got a friend of mine to experience bleach. He didn't get into the beginning so it took forever for him to get this far. However, watching his reaction during this part was so fun. It was a like yours the smiles and shear enjoyment of this part had him up the wall.

Weakness: If the target is a Nick's forehead worshipper to begin with, then they will be spared by Forehead Emperor automatically, since his bankai recognizes them as "subservient". If the target is a non-sentient being (bacteria, fungus, plants, etc), they are naturally immune to Nick's bankai since they have no minds to be shattered.

Man. Ichigo's first bankai still gives me chills. and that scene where he first shows his speed and you hear just his chain rattling, its one of the most epic moments in the entire series. and that saying a lot as the series only ever gets better.

This is what I'm telling people what TYBW lacks is the athmospheric effect not just the reiatsu heaviness but the overall aesthetic of the setting. I can discount a few scenes like Unohana's Bankai, Squad Zero Weaver Girl Bankai, and Auswhalen.
