ichigo being a quincy was actually forshadowed in episode 1 if you look at ichigos bed the blankets are the cross that quincies use

chapter 1 of bleach = ichigo has quincy bedsheets chapter 394 = aizen says "thats because you're a shinigami and a..." final getsugatenshou = representation of yhwach's almighty isshin in early bleach "i will tell you the truth when you are mature enough"
