In this video I show you how I arranged the contents of the ICOM backpack, the LC-192 for the QRP IC-705 radio. Including the HF Comet HFJ-350M antenna and the Diamond RS-520 support.

Very interesting set up. I have the smaller older Yaesu FT-818ND, and originally had the older original model, 817, which came out around 2000. Good luck portable. Ray W2CH

Same here... Would like to know more about the counterpoise and how you use it. Like the color markings for the length of wire you would "roll" out for each band. Curious what is done with the "Extra" wire when you don't need that length?

Nicely done video. The shrink wrap idea for your counterpoise wire is brilliant! Who makes the nifty reel for the counterpoise?

Fantastic video. What was the vhf/uhf antenna you showed at 3:31? The one not connected to your radio, with an induction coil in it?

It's a VHF UHF HT antenna bought on Amazon.ca, performance is ok but not more. See amzn.to/3CwC91U 73 Pascal VA2PV

Great, clever and nice review like ever (since years and years I follow you and I'm still here because quality and truth), but a bit high priced for my pocket in my opinion only because it's for transport and not operational so can buy at half price something (maybe at same quality) can do the same thing in more confort...73 de IZ3QVB Alessandro

Hi Alessandro, I bought the bag as soon as it was available, but got the IC-705 before the bag because it was back order. So, I used my Canon camera back pack before using the LC-192 and was ok. Quality is about the same for both bag, the LC-192 is a bit more expansive but specially design for the radio and it reduce the risk of dropping it. If someone is serious about backpacking with this radio, it's better, in my opinion, to by the LC-192, on the other hand if you're on a budget you can get along with another type of bag, Nethertheless, this bag is perfect for this radio. 73

Yellow is too light compared to a black bag. I suggest a dark gray or black background.

You're right, but I was out of time to redo the video, sorry about that, I've tried to play with contrast in post but it was worst. The problem was with my camera settings by the way, I used the same camara with building the bag and you will find some parts in this video, that we can see the bag details better. 73
