Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku has delivered Icon of the Seas to Royal Caribbean International. In this video, the world's newest and largest cruise ship departs Meyer Turku shipyard and begins its journey to Miami.

I lived for 2 months this year in Turku, I saw the construction of this ship from the inside. I'm from the Royal group and it was a wonderful experience living these months in Finland consuming your culture and arts. I'm Brazilian and I loved the experience next to the Meyer during the construction of Icon

,, pues mi hijo también está trabajando en el icon of the Seas y lleva desde octubre hasta ahora que está en Cádiz y luego rumbo a Miami a Ford Lauderdale para que en enero que es cuando llega el barco que sale el 23 de diciembre aproximadamente de Cádiz haga su primer viaje desde Miami en enero rumbo a su primer viaje al Caribe para disfrute de todos los pasajeros barco maravilloso no me extraña qué hayas quedado satisfecho e impresionado mi hijo al igual que tú está maravillado tanto de Finlandia de turco como del barco que es una auténtica pasada y maravilla según me ha dicho mi hijo estoy segura que los pasajeros que se monten en ese barco hacer un viaje van a disfrutar a tope

I mean, it's still a modern engineering marvel to build such a large ship and put that many people inside it, but yeah, for me, it's still a glorified floating hotel/shopping center that can be crammed up to the brim! But some people find hotels, shopping centers, and rubbing shoulder to shoulder in corridors exciting, so there's that too!!

Being inside a ship for so long is not the kind of place I personally associate with either vacation, interesting or fun, which generally fall into 3 categories: -natural places & cultural places (like world heritage sites); -themed places: ski resorts, amusement parks etc. The only kind of cruise experience I could see myself doing is something like descend the Nile river on a small boat; a dozen other people max; and able to stop wherever and whenever I want with no tight schedule... or tour the Mediterranean also in the same kind of conditions: small boat, a dozen other people; able to stop wherever and whenever I want and for how long I want!

I was working on this project for half a year as an electrician for Focus Electro company from Poland. It was amazing and hard experience. There was a lot misunderstoods with Team Electric but at the end "YO, WE MADE IT!"

Quite a creation - just immense! About seven of the cruise ship I traveled on in September, VIking Octantis. You were never more than five minutes from your cabin! I'd like to see the two side by side for a real comparison. I don't know that Icon of the Seas is my jam but I'm sure she'll be loved and traveled by many!

That is true I was in Costa Maya 2 month ago,and my ship was Carnival Celebration (6,000- guess,) there was Wonder of The Seas From RC(6000-)And another ship from MSC maybe (4000)in that small place that was like been in hell,not again #1 the itinerary I can’t stand it any more,Costa Maya-Roatan,Cozumel,the best part is Coco Cay.

Yes. The ship is definitely a work of art. But something tells me it wouldn’t be a good time with all that humanity bumping into each other all day long. Boarding and disembarking this thing must be a nightmare… Trying to find a poolside seat? Probably impossible as well. I’ll pass.
