I met Tania Gail at Dedication Point on the Snake River Canyon for a late evening flight with the DJI Mini 4 Pro. This was my second flight with the drone. Hi Marcus as always great video nice to see you had a friend along with you I have seen your friend before, that’s the most people I’ve seen at one time in the canyon when your watching on a small screen like a iPad it’s hard to visualise how big the canyon is until you see people and cars to show a bit of scale but it sure is breathtaking to me anyway living in Britain 🇬🇧 keep making great videos Marcus and take care 👌and yeah the DJI mini 4 pro is a great drone I’ve got one myself 👍

Nice demo of night mode out at the canyon with the new Mini 4 Pro. It did a great job with the shadows. The canyon looks very different at that time of day. Good video, and thanks for sharing Marcus.

Hi Marcus, I have been very entertained by you and your friends for several years now. My primary enjoyment in drone flying is exploration of places that would under normal circumstances be very hard if not impossible to get to. That is one reason that I always look forward to seeing your posts from the Snake River Canyon. With that said I have for the longest time considered asking you if you have ever considered trying to duplicate the motorcycle jump path that Evel Knievel tried to make in 1974 over the Snake River near Twin Falls. I was a young man at the time and was very captivated by the airing of that event on, I believe, ABC Wild World Of Sports. Unfortunately I am about 1400 miles to the east, a few years older and kinda out of the range of my Mini 2 and hoped for Air 3.

Excellent video, Marcus! That was wierd about not being able to descend when you were flying forward. Is that normal? I've not had that happen on my DJI's drones before.

The night mode is really nice on the Mini 4. I love night mode. It may not be as good as the Mavic 3 Pro's night mode but it's also a lot less money than a MP3. I may need to start saving up for a Mini 4.

Love that Mini 4! I know ypu dont do a lot of night flights, but its a bit bright for night mode - at least 12,800 ISO! I have a vid up that I end with highway at night, wow. Perfect white balance. Looks fantastic!

Great flight, Marcus, and the M4P is actually very tempting! It would maybe have been a good idea to switch between night mode and regular mode during flight to show us the difference in video quality. Maybe next time ... 😉

It takes about 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Take Meridian Road to Kuna, then south on Swan Falls Road. It's that easy.

So it flies like the Nano and can't use 2 sticks =p. Wasn't dark enough to really use Night mode. I like night mode on my Mavic 3 Pro but it doesn't work on the telephoto cameras which stinks. Mini 4 looks like a fine drone just not earth shattering better. I now have to tell everyone Mini 4 Pro for their first drone when they come up and ask me about their first drone. The mini with RC is best starting experience for new ppl to the hobby by far. They will stay in the hobby and buy other drones if they start with that combo first.

Hello to Marcus & Tanya, the mini 4 pro stopped recording with return to home as it assumed it need the battery power. It ws off way before landing Marcus and you did NOT stop the recording.. I seem to notice today when flying out to the gulf here the drone would not turn but fly forward it climbed no problem all the way to 900 feet. This drone seems to do a few peculiar things I do not understand. Like today with OA on it would not follow me for some reason. It is strange in certain modes. Maybe because I was in 4k 60 video. I need to read more for now. That first low power battery had 2 charges now and ws out away about 3/4 mile and I still had 63% battery. I hit RTH and it arrived back with still 30%. That lighter battery has some serious power in it. The older Mini 3 Pro batteries last much longer as they are nearing 10 charges now. It is a great drone and the images are great as well. That old long gone lake Bonnieville was basically an inland ocean that flooded this area to create the Snake River Canyon. It must have been an incredible event as you say for sure!!! Ray

The canyon is so scenic and it seems to change with the time of the year, and now with the time of day! It was really beautiful without the shadows or the glint of sunlight off the water. Why would it not descend while it was moving forward. That seems strange. A function of the Low Light setting? That doesn't seem reasonable, but it was the only thing different that you were doing on this flight. The last time you flew with Tania you were taking care of a stray dog. You mis-spoke yourself and referred to Tania as the dog. At that time I suggested that you have her chipped so that if she ever gets lost someone could return her to you. Did ya?

I was disappointed with the flight time (~21 min.) and the fact that it shut off the video. But in low light it does ok.

Anyone saying this drone is any good is lying to you, This drone is pure JUNK do not buy. I have had 2 defective drones in 3 days. Screen freezes in flight arms get lose after a week of use. Pure JUNK. Stay away.
