Man if I compare this to what we do here in the Netherlands it's absurd how much more rules we have. Everything must be in pvc pipe, loose wires are only allowed in closed piping (mainly spring bended), the only exception for not bending the pipe is using cable. Also we have to clip every max 40 cm and are strictly forbidden to just put loose cables or wiring inside walls (which is pretty obvious if there is something wrong.

Ok...maybe it's a major pain inthe butt but actually I'm glad we have these strict rules in The Netherlands. But it applies to all sorts here...lots of rules for everything. I lately saw some UK video's on conduit stuff...they are mandated to use galvanized steel pipe..pretty good choice imo....steel/moisture/eletrical current...NOT ofcourse..🤤I do like their wall plug though!! Very sturdy design.

The worst thing for me in this competition would be all the cameras and people looking and screaming over my shoulder..😵 This is like having the client behind your back when working..but 100× worst loll. Hats off to thoses 4 that have to perform under this chaos!👷

I don't do much residential but we clip on the trusses and timbers inside the ceiling and if they do inside a wall it's to make insulation easier to install.

Very interesting seeing different systems. Were some things I saw that I didn't like, some need to learn to use their pliers when making joints and on wire nuts and tape wire nuts as well as adding pigtails for receptacles. Don't do those things on my jobs and you may find yourself without a job, craftsmanship is number one and that includes thinking about the next electrician to open up a box.

I agree with the pigtails but not with the tapping of wire nuts... teach how to properly twist youre wires and tape is not necessary. Especially if you’re like most companies and buy the inexpensive tape. That stuff will fall right off within a yr rendering it wasteful and stupid...

If you pigtail each outlet box in a branch circuit and a sheet rocker or framer covers a outlet box attached to a circuit . It runs the potential chance of the outlet box getting missed/ overlooked during final inspection, creating a hazard, because the branch circuit would still hold even when all devices have not been installed. If you don’t pigtail and a outlet gets buried the branch circuit would have a open.

@@blazingsaddle7492 Well that is why white people are living comfortably, while the ones who charge cheap and bust their bodies they just bring the market prices down, devalue the trade and have broken bodies by the age of 43...You gotta pace yourself, do clean code compliant work andnhave pride in it, and charge the fair market price to afford a good living for your family! It doesn't sound like white vs mexican mindset, but more like Smart thinking longterm VS shortsighted ! And btw I am not white.

Seeing the Chinese guy cutting the EMT with the hacksaw was hard to watch lol. Didn't ream the cuts very good either considering he just bent it till it snapped which would make very sharp edges.

Ok what they did wrong was not show the detail of each board and what was expected to do the task ..I also witnessed poor workmanship on stripping of cables and sloppy hand tooling on simple screwdrivers..
