Exterior is a very nice design, interior looks good, exept for that not well integrated screen, and they should have a smaller v6, roughly 3L, paired with that 8 speed, and make it a hybrid system. All other things considered, and if I had the money, I most likely would buy one.

First off I LOVE the new look! Now on to reality check: 3yr, 36k miles ain't sh&t! Especially when you consider these are new engines and they're not proven yet. At least give me 5yr, 60k miles and I'll be down but hell no. The price these things are going to cost and you most likely won't even be able to work on that engine being that it's so new tech, not risking it. I don't care that it's a Toyota, even the best teams have their worse years. I'll be watching on the sidelines the fools early adopter fools who just want to look cool. It's gonna be like the Bronco all over again.

I’m glad Toyota has finally redesigned the 4Runner. I’m glad they got rid of the bulky, outdated 4 litre. I hated how car like the outgoing body style looked and was. It’s basically an off-road station wagon without actually being an off-road station wagon. Off-road suvs are supposed to ride like trucks because that’s what they’re based off of. I work in an oil change place and I hate when those tanks come in for oil changes because of the skid plate and how the pit guy has to use a “jackhammer” to take it down; just to do an oil change🤦‍♂️. I’m sure the skid plate’s gonna be worse for the coming years. And a lot of people who drive them don’t even take them off road because they have luxury car wheels with sedan tread pattern tires.

It doesn't matter if it's a toyota, TFL has already proven that these new platforms, for the Tacoma and Tundra, are not reliable. And this new 4Runner is just going to be more of the same.

@@okexotics7576 The turbos on the Tundra failed in less than 4,000 MI, and the ADD and front differential on the Tacoma failed in less than 4,000 miles. You must not know anything about cars.

@@403patriot3 Thank you. My first car was a Datsun 510, that I rebuilt myself. I used to love Datsun until I bought a Nissan. Then I bought a 2001 Tacoma. Then my next vehicle was a Toyota 4Runner. I thought Toyota could do very little wrong until I test drove the new twin turbo Toyota Tundra. Never go full turbo!

Just because Toyota makes it, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be comparable reliability wise to an ICE engine from 30 years ago. Looks nice, but this overly complicated crap drives up cost and drives down reliability…cut and dried.

@@403patriot3 "stop shooting you idiot, you're firing at friendlies!" Neither, lol. You know I was agreeing with you right? Toyota has strayed from the business model they had in the 90s. Today they're just throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks. Just look at their directions recently. The quality of every car maker has tanked due to the over-emphasis on tech in every new vehicle sold. The ND Miata is a slight divergance from this. That car at least has an aluminum valve cover again. It still has a polymer intake though. And the whole engine is recessed under the cowl for some reason, making removal a PITA. The car hits closer to the mark than rivals, but it doesn't match my NB on simplicity and ease of maintenance. If I had to buy a new car in the US, it would be an ND. About the only new vehicle I'm actually interested in is the Toyota IMV 0. Sadly, it's unlikely we would see one in the US due to the Chicken Tax. However, even with the import tax, brand new, an IMV 0 would still only cost $12,500USD. Which is still cheaper than anything on the market. Its a model of simplicity and basics. At least Toyota is doing something right there. Like I said, I agree with you that new Toyotas are not the same as old Toyotas. In the states at least. Its a shame, but that's the reason all of my vehicles are 16yrs old and older. This new 4Runner is an effort to catch up to the offroad-capable market, but falls short with it being some type of automotive chimera. It might even be capable offroad, but nowhere near the lifespan of a 2002 4Runner. This new 4Runner demonstrates that, at least in the SUV space, Toyota is trailing far behind the pack instead of leading it. I hope they get their act together. Between their Subaru and BMW partnerships, you would think they forgot how to build engines. The 36k mi warranty was enough to tell me they're not confident in this product. Hard pass Cheers.

I wouldn't buy anything new. California Started the All Electric Vehicle Initiative for 2035 EV only, and 8 months Later Biden takes office and does the same for the rest of the Nation. The Same will occur to the Following 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩 Yes, and they're Democrats 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩 In California the Legislature is voting today to impose for 2027 the 10 mile per hour over Posted Speed Limit. If Vehicles have GPS or Online Service, or unsubscribed Service. The Vehicles sold then and those from the past will get an Over the Air Update, up loaded... Therefore Super cars Hyper car gas or Electric Vehicles (EV's) will only be limited to posted limit of 10 above. Race Tracks will be effected, Tuner Shops and their Suppliers will be effected. Highly recommend looking for older vehicles Basic will rule the Roads.

So… right off the bat. If you know a Toyota can last 200k-300k why on this earth would you warranty the battery to only 150k? Replacing that is like 4k-5k or more… no thanks
