This song actually has a deeper meaning. This song is from a BTS era called "Wings". This era is about the growth of boys, who find themselves conflicted in the face of temptation. In some interview back at 2016, RM explained the idea behind the album: “The harder a temptation is to resist, the more you think about it and vacillate. That uncertainty is part of the process of growing. [Blood Sweat & Tears] is a song that shows how one thinks, chooses, and grows.” The wings pictured in the music video are one of the symbols of growth. Suga also said that the song relays an optimistic determination to use our wings to go far, even if we are met with temptations in life. Maybe, that's why this concept seems like more sexual, as you said. Anyway, a lot of BTS albums, or music videos (like Run, I Need U, Blood, Sweat and Tears...) are related to this book called "Demian" by Hernan Hesse. It is like mind-blowing stuff but actually pretty cool. Also, something super important connected to this, there's something called "BTS Universe" and not all but some of their videos are related to that. I mean, is like a fictional story and each member has a character. Yeah, idk if I explained myself hahaha but if you want to maybe start understanding more about this, then I do recommend you to search about BTS fictional story and what videos are involved into this, because not all of them are. There are also a lot of mind-blowing theories that ARMYS create, trying to explain the meaning of the video or of the storyline, you know, based on the book I mentioned and in other stuff. I also may warn you that is complicated but cool. Once you get in to BTS Storyline, you'll see how intelligent this people are. I mean, with this, I think more that in school hahahaha. It's so awesome. Another thing, all of BTS' lyrics, and also Music videos, are deeper than what they seem. I like this a lot, and I know you have a lot of stuff to react to, but It'll be cool that when you have time, you search more of this BTS storyline. Yeah, I was about to make a comment guiding Brandon and Ron to Herman Hesse's 'Demian'. All this universe Melissa is mentioning here, how Jin is the main character and the rest are like portraits of different personality traits within himself, all the context of growing and accepting the good and the bad things we all have in our personalities... Blood , Sweat and tears is the perfect title once you dive into the messages that they are actually saying in the lyrics and video. They have the behind the scenes and as well as a Korean explaining what they think blood , sweat and tears is about video that's popular. The idea of temptation and loosing your innocence from childhood, into your teens and into adulthood and the tainting of life as you get older and the pressures it holds. As well as the blood you spill in your youth, the tears you spill in everyday hardships and the sweat of working your ass off. Honestly it has a quadruple amount of layers and I'm excited to see you both dive into it. This song reminds me of BTS dancing for literal hours in practices and not really sleeping or staying up all night to write and compose songs or just the pain they have felt over the years. This song deserves so much more then it was awarded. I love that their songs have an over all arc and then mini arcs ^^ hope to see you both enjoy more to come ^^

They use a lot of analogies and symbolism to to covey the kind of message they want to put out for their audience. They do that so it's applicable to any walk of life. Even though you’ve both Jimin, and Jimin was very much front and center with the dancing in BST, don’t sleep on J-Hope! J- Hope too was front and center dancing in BST. J-Hope too was a dancer, a competitive dancer. He is the dance leader of BTS. He learns the dances first and teaches-coaches-slave drives the boys in dance practice. We love Jimin, yes, but we definitely love our Jung Ho-sek. He’s my bias wrecker to Suga-Agust’D...or RM. Hell, I just bias the whole rap line.

Unfortunately, until and when people know more about BTS or have seen them live, they will only see what’s featured in the videos. Which is usually the maknaes. V in a recent interview even says what he remembers most in BS&T is j-hope’s part. He’s a sweetheart. But Hobi is ok with that. Those who know, know.

La La true. Hobi is like that too. He is isn’t caring about the limelight. He cares about BTS, the Army, and making people see sunshine ☀️ I don’t wanna poke bias fighting. I really love them all. I cannot truly find a bias (except the whole rap line). They all work hard enough to earn being our biases. I just think J-Hope gets overshadowed a lot. I wanna make sure he gets love too.

this has nothing to do with love in a relationship it's about one's relationship with themselves. it's about transitioning from boyhood to manhood and the temptations that you go through to reach adulthood. there's always deeper meaning to whatever bts does. this era of blood sweat & tears was prob their first deepest psychologically

If you are going to watch Bulletproof the eternal, I recommend you watch many many more MV's of theirs first. There are so many references in the Eternal MV from past MV's, that likely you wont understand without the other MV context and knowing the hardships they went through, like the Black Ocean, Suga's car accident, old dance studio, etc. The References include (but are not limited to): MV: No More Dream (Debut), Bulletproof Pt 2, N.O., Boy in Luv, Danger, Run, I need u, Not today, Spring Day, BS&T, Young forever, Boy With Love. Other: Black ocean, Wings Era, Suga's accident, whalien 52 (52 hertz whale), Mikrocosmos, Live concerts, ARMY Logo, RM's choice, MAMA 2018 award acceptance speech. Though the song in and of itself is beautiful and understandable, there will be so much more meaning to you in the song if you know of the references.

Blood Sweat and Tears is a song which conveys temptation of adult phase from youth phase. BTS are artists hence, many forms of Art is displayed throughout the MV which makes it more mysterious. Also what better than Art to display BTS's temptation in the video? BTS deliberately used Artistic references in lyrics and MV because Art is the main focus of this song. Many references and imageries are acted out by BTS in this MV which represents that they are unable to resist Art and therefore they are falling for it. They want us to know that Art is what they want to seek in their life. This temptation is displayed through Art. For Artists like them this Art is the temptation which they are seeking. Art is their adult phase. Like adult phase has it's dangers, Art also has it's own dangers. Like adult phase looks like paradigm for youths, Art is the paradigm for BTS. Jin is the main protagonist and others are his inner impersonations. The MV starts from from their youth phase. Other members are conveying Jin's inner thoughts. BTS casually walking in the museum and Suga hitting Jimin is an imagery of their youth phase. Jin is unsure of this sudden temptation. It feels like a deadly trap which he is unable to resist but also wants to make his decision wisely. They(his inner selves aka other members) are able to pursue him in the end and he eventually falls for the temptation. He falls for the Art. He lands in adult phase. Kissing the statue is actually an imagery for falling in the temptation. It means that he has landed in adult phase. His one inner part who couldn't resist the temptation makes him fall for it. That one inner part is no one but V. He kisses the statue. Statue is V. Hence V looks like a devil. It's the devil inside Jin who has made him fall for the temptation. That means he has accepted that temptation which he has fallen into it. This kiss also means he has made a bond with that inner part. PS: This is not mine credit to the owner

When I was looking up the lyrics on Genius this is how they described it "Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, RM, J-Hope, V and Jin declare their willingness to throw everything on the line for love, success or whatever their aim might be. Thematically, the guys blend sentiments of temptation with an often carnal willingness to sacrifice everything." I can see these ideas portrayed in the video 🥰

Ohhhh, if you guys are for real and not just doing this for views, you have fallen into the BTS Rabbit Hole. Things to avoid are shipping, toxic fans and expecting main stream media and your friends to understand. But its worth it. They are ambitious, hard working and kind. I am a high school teacher and I always find that my most compassionate students are BTS fans. Bon Voyage and In The Soop are wonderful and entertaining.

yes one of theory is V was a fallen angel and jin kissed the statue (which represent V) to make a deal to save others, this theory is about bts story line which start with I need you original version (19+). its about jin who is trying to save others, one of main reasons I fell for bts was the story line.

Yeah before Debut and stuff Jimin was actually a contemporary dancer and he also learned like hip hop and popping dances. He studied contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts and was a top student in the modern dance department. Nowadays that school even has this "Park Jimin Scholarship" thing

Easily one of my favorite music videos. And when Jin kissed the statue 😂😂😂, the look on your faces killed me. It's also exactly how I reacted, lol. Watching BTS react to the mv is hilarious. You'd have to find a version with subtitles though, as they only recently started adding Eng subs to their videos that aren't mvs. This mv also plays a big part in their fictional storyline. xCeleste really explains it well. The interesting thing about BTS's songs is that they sound like love songs or shallow stuff like that, but they're actually not talking about that, they are actually referring to the lust and temptation, and all things they are going through as artists. They've built up this storyline for 6-7 years that grew to a whole-ass universe of storylines and theories about their journey as artists, of sel-realization and their psychological state during these years being blinded by the fame and diacovering their own inner demons... These MVs actually run quite deep. At face value, they sound like shallow lyrics, but all these years ARMYs had gone detective looking into their hidden messages just to reveal the true story line. From MVs to LED screen mini-vids, to concert and live stage clues, to theclues included in the albums, to the clues left in their social medias and fansite... Their music run so deep, that all the millions of ARMYs have been theorizing for more than 5 years, and we still don't know the entire storyline. You have to watch the explanation vids and the BTS Storyline video... I'm sure it will shock you. And maybe, like us, you'll have major trust issues with BTS and BigHit(now called HYBE) 😂😂😂😂 Because every ARMY knows, them boys always be scheming and cooking things in their pot that leaves all of us questioning our own existence 🙈🙈🙈🙈 (p.s. The storylines have become so huge that other groups under their company, BigHit(HYBE) are also having their own storylines and universes, like EnHypen, TXT, GFriend etc., that interconnect to each other)

Someone's idic commented on this but Jin kissing the devil (who in this case is the statue / v with his black wings) means he made a deal with the devil. Thus he loses his innocence (shown where his face begins to crack). BS&T is basically a storytelling story of the boys who grow up and lose their innocence from temptations (RM drinks the alcohol, Yongkok tastes the wax, Jimin puts on the cover) and then as soon as they do they are infected (e.g., Jimin with green tears, RM blows smoke and so '). There are also symbolisms of boys growing up to be men. Jungkook was on the swing with a lollipop, but then he floated. Jimin with the catapult and then J-hop with the bow and arrow.

I think you'll be told this many times during your BTS journey, but don't fall into the trap of first degree meaning. Because while it might seem to be about romantic love at first glance, it almost never is. In this case, Blood, Sweat & Tears is a song about facing temptations and how easy it would be to give in. For example, the chorus goes "My blood, sweat, tears, and my last dance, Take them all away. My blood, sweat, tears, and my cold breath, Take them all away" as in if they give in to temptations (alcohol, drugs, sex, etc.) it will take away their pain (blood, sweat and tears). Also the part about the chocolate wings isn't about chicken wing! 😂 It goes "Peaches and cream, Sweeter than sweet, Chocolate cheeks and chocolate wings, But your wings are those of a devil, Before your ‘sweet‘ there’s bitter bitter" i.e. bittersweet, as in a sweet yet evil temptation. The chocolate wings part refers to the story of Icarus. He wanted to escape his confines, so he built wing made of wax, but once he took flight, he got so drunk on the feeling of freedom that he forgot caution and flew too close to the sun. His wings melted and he plunged to his death. Basically, he gave in to temptation and paid the price dearly. His freedom was bittersweet.

I'll try to sum it up for you, guys but I just found this out recently and I don't know if that's official. So basically the guys (JK, RM, Suga, Jimin and J-Hope) were falling into temptation, so Jin made a deal (the kiss) with the fallen angel (V) , to save his friends. He sacrificed himself so that his friends would not fall into temptation, that's why he started to turn into the statue at the end. Also this whole MV was based on the book Demien, you should probably look it up, there are a lot of army's out there who have many theories and explanations for every song on this album, it's called Wings. Thanks for your reactions. I really enjoy them, and also for some reason I kind of want to touch Brandon's hair. Can I? 🤭💕

This video is based on the book "Demian" by Hermann Hesse and the main theme is temptation. There is tons of symbolism in this video that relates to the fictional storyline that runs through many of their music videos. Yes, Suga plays the piano and was playing the organ in this.

It is now confirmed, the setlist of BTS' concert is different for day1 and day2! According to BH, MOTS ON:E is expected to “be a spectacular concert on the greatest scale ever.” Production costs for MOTS ON:E are 8 TIMES more than BBC: The Live. There will be 4 large stages to show the highest quality performances only BTS can give. Fans will feel like they are watching 4 different venues. In addition, there is high-tech technology such as AR and XR incorporated into the performances along with an option for 4K viewing, all to make the fan feel as if they’re at the actual concert site. They’ll also be given the option of viewing from 6 different multi-view cams, giving 6 different angles for a richer experience. The setlist will be different for both days to give fans who’ve been sad about the cancellation of offline concerts, a new experience.

RMs answer: “The harder a temptation is to resist, the more you think about it and vacillate. That uncertainty is part of the process of growing. Blood Sweat & Tears is a song that shows how one thinks, chooses, and grows.” I would highly recommend to check out the explanation of their discography in "BTS Crash course 2020". If you don't feel like watching all of it, the explanation on the discography is from 7:40-13:40. You should really watch the dance practice for Blood, Sweat, and Tears to see the whole routine. All of them are so awesome and you can really see it filmed from a fixed camera.
