Despite that, my and my Tunisian friend (and new Indonesian friend!) had a great time exploring the different religious sites and having a laugh. Come along with us on a journey through the real streets of Cairo.

I think maybe the Middle Eastern videos get more views because of the jeopardy factor. People want to see what happens to an Israeli Jew in an Arab country. And for the most part it's positive. Keep up the great work Salukie!

The capital of Egypt before the Arab Muslims was Alexandria. Al Fastat that she talked about was establish by the Arab Muslims and later developed to be Cairo.

The girl is wrong, Fustat was already a new capital city back then established by the Muslims, Cairo as it is known today is another newer capital established by the Fatimids. What she was referring to is probably old Cairo which is adjacent to historical Fustat but included in the municipality borders, but the modern administrative borders don't justify the mistake as today all of these are part of a huge metropolis where there is no clear distinction.

12:57 I want to correct some Historical information Salah El Din didn't close El Azhar mosque and school but he just transferred the doctrine direction of the Azhar Cause it's not only a mosque but a huge religious organization from the Sheaa doctrine to the Sunni doctrine in addition too salah eldin represented the Ayuby state, not the mamalek state but by the way the lady with you is very smart and cleaver she said a lot of other correct things

I'm curious do you think Egyptians can distinguish between Israel (the country - which they have negative attitudes towards) vs you an Israeli as a person - and not hold your nationality against you?

No. It’s visa free with the Romanian one, with the Israeli one it’s only visa free for Sinai

Next time use your Romanian passport when you travel to Muslim countries and they will not interogate you at the airport...they are pretty used with Romanian tourists there !

Love your videos. If you ever make videos in Israel again, Ashkelon would be interesting. There is that place where Hussein was beheaded, apparently Indian Muslims come there on pilgrimage. And Hassan Bek Mosque in Tel Aviv would be interesting, too. And after you showed Samaritans, why not Karaites as well? And Ethiopian Jews? Black Hebrew Israelites who made Aliya from the US? etc.

There is a lot, lot more I could show in Israel. But spending time in Israel is financially unsustainable, one week in Tel Aviv costs me a couple of months in Egypt. Hopefully over time I will be able to go back and make more content there if my Patreon grows or my channel becomes bigger and generates more revenue.
