Here are some of my takeaways from this experience.
I've never had my car dyno tested before so I wasn't too sure what to expect. This dyno obviously connects directly to the axle rather than wheels on rollers so I'm not entirely sure if the results show crank horsepower or wheel horsepower... I would safely assume wheel. I'm aware that the results would be different compared to a wheel and roller dyno because of the wheel weight, loss of traction, etc.
I don't think the first two pulls were done in sport mode (no dsg farts on the up shift... might be a tune thing). The third pull, however, was done in sport mode because it did have the dsg fart, or whatever it's called.
According to IE, with their stage 2 tune, dsg tune, full bolt-on supporting mods, my car would make 322 crank horsepower and 393 ft-lbs. OR 293 wheel horsepower and 358 wheel torque. My car actually made 312 horsepower and 377 ft-lbs. But then again, I'm not too sure if the dyno showed crank or wheel horsepower. Feel free to correct me in the comments!
Overall, getting my car on a dyno was just so fun. Hearing how she sounds for the first time like this made me so happy (it just hits different compared to when your buddy flies by in your car you know?). It was nice getting a rough idea of the power my car can make. I was expecting at least 300 hp and I got 12 more than that so that was sick. Removing my spare tire = +12 hp LOL

Aside from the spark plugs and coil packs I’m running the same setup almost. Thinking I’ll get similar numbers out of mine since I’m Going with IE stage 2 as well

I'd say torque is around 320 from 2k rpm to 5krpm. The torque peak didn't help peak hp number at all. You can get that result from apr stage 1.

yea apr is pretty aggressive. but they no longer offer a stage 2 tune so i went with ie

hey about a week ago i went ie stage 2 93 high torque and pop tune and tcu tune 3600. included mods so far are dp, intake, inlet pipe, tmd. and i have a buddy drives a3 sline (very similar to mk7 gti) stage 1 with ie same mods except no dp. anyways, he was keeping up with me and i wasn’t pulling from him like i thought. idk if my expectations were just too high or if im not getting the full stage 2 power. i noticed b4 you download the tune it says they “highly recommend an intercooler” so can the tune recognize i dont have an aftermarket intercooler orrr??but i have friends and heard from quite a lot of ppl that you only need a dp and intake for stage 2.

stage 1 and 2 aren’t much different my A3 is Stage 2 E85 that makes a big difference

Dont have a ie intercooler yet but i have ie intake, dp and im stage 2 how much im gonna gain if i get dyno

@Shairo Calica the dp and exhaust can make a difference. with my setup, i’m making 312 whp. so you can expect at least a 100hp gain from stock

Your stage 2 and don’t have a INTERCOOLER YET?? Ik this is a late comment but have you had any problems with stage 2 with oem Inter cooler?

Is there a noticeable difference between stage1 and 2? I was messing around with a guy in I think an Audi S7 and was keeping pace with him for a little while he was stage 1 himself he thought I was stage 2 lol. But I’m just on IEs stage 1 with a few bolt on mods lol. Only thing stopping me is californias dumb laws with down pipes and I have a borla on which will make it ridiculously loud with a Down pipe

hey! the difference between stage 1 and stage 2 aren’t crazy significant. prolly an additional 15-20 hp from stage 1. but it definitely performs smoother in my opinion. your bolt on mods make a difference too. IE actually offers a stage 2 without downpipe if that’s something your interested in because of the downpipe. borla and downpipe combo is definitely very very loud

@@nckgti7 ok thank, I want one for my mk7 but I don't want something rusty at the moment I have oem muffler with resonator vibrate and down pipe cts. but I still don't decide which one to install 😂

unfortunately it pops in both modes. but after a certain rpm

@Shairo Calica i have a full xforce turbo back exhaust, ie stage 2 with ie dsg tune, ie intake, ie inlet pipe, ie intercooler, rs7 spark plugs, rs3 coil packs

the dyno was just to see how much power my car is making on the ie tune. no dyno tune involved

there’s an option for the stage 2 file: stage 2 or stage 2 w/ crackle. i chose the crackle file

it differs a lot actually. at higher speeds it can pop super loud like up to 10 times and on downshifts it can pop sporadically. but usually if i downshift just above 3k rpms it pops a lot

Hey man but that didnt sound healthy, the way the power band after the shift at the end of the pull bounced like that sounded bad. Somethings not right

@Tyler LeDrew i agree it was super weird. i think i might have to do with the dyno cuz it stopped the wheels from spinning right away. but i can assure you, she doesn’t do that on the road during regular driving or pulls
