Informal letter: a letter to a person you know very closely. formal letter: a letter to a person whom you've never met and do not know them personally semi-formal: a letter to a person whom you know but not closely.

E2 IELTS CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK MY GRAMMAR AND MY POSSIBLE BAND SCORES. Dear John, I'm writing to let you know how grateful I am to received your invitation. So thoughtful of you to invite me in your country however I can't fly long distance due to my limited time. Let me explain my situation in more detail. First of all, I already consumed my holidays last month. It's quite impossible for me to travel long distance not unless if it is a weekend trip. In addition, I got accepted in the university for my Masters degree, so this month is a big jump start for my career. Could you please let me know ahead of time when I could visit you? It would be fantastic to meet you again. I'm thinking of visiting you this coming fall break for a week. I hope it would be enough time for both of us. Otherwise, if you are not available by this coming end of fall I'll surely come over this Christmas for at least two weeks. Please let me know if those dates (should I use those or these dates??) Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend because I have to attend a conference in Miami between Nov 3 and Nov 6. I have to attend the entire conference since I have to give a talk, moreover, I am the chair of three sessions. Is there any chance you could change the date of your even so I could attend. Let me explain my situation in more detail. I have recently been promoted to the position of assistant director at my work. In all sincerity, I quite enjoy this new opportunity as it comes with bundle of tidings yet, it is very tasking as the director is seldom available. I have to take the role of the director while he Is away which translates to, thinking more like him and also making positive decisions not to mention the unscheduled travels, calls and meetings I have to take for the company.

This is my letter. All feedback welcome. Hope someone finds it helpful! Dear Julian, I'm writing to thank you for inviting me to visit you overseas. However, as much as I would love to spend time together, it will be next to impossible for me to make it, since I have a crazy busy agenda in the upcoming weeks. As you know, I've been working on growing my business for a while and these months are particularly busy in my industry. On top of that, I just recently moved houses and need to unpack and sort things out at my new place. Let's not even get started with all the paper work that my PR application involves... I guess you get the point. All this being said though, I do miss you and would love to find a time that works for both of us to catch up! I cannot travel this month, as my responsibilities require me to be here in Vancouver at the moment. But I think I can find a gap towards the end of June or early July, in case you're available then to have me over and show me around. I'd love to see your house and meet all the cool interesting people you always talk about! Let me know your thoughts, hope we can work something out. I look forward to hearing back from you!
