I think she got 8.5 because she was from Korea. Korean, Chinese, and Japanese have harder time learning English because of grammatical orders in a sentence, which is just the opposite of that of English. And her sentences are coming out very stably. considering her age, it is amazing achievement.

Nahh, we have the sense to compare the use of adverbs, if type 3 etc. This is an English proficiency test, not a psychological sobriety test
