Her English sounds like she may have moved to an English-speaking country as a child or may have attended British or American school in Taiwan, but I could be wrong. I am unsure about Taiwan, but in Hong Kong they still widely use English as an official language. Please don’t feel bad if your speaking skill is not at this level. I took the test 4 years ago before I enrolled in a university course, and back then my overall score was 7, with 7 in Speaking. Two months ago, I had to redo it to obtain the professional registration and my overall score increased to 8, with 8 in Speaking. I even briefly stopped speaking in section 2 because I felt like I run out of ideas, which may have affected my fluency score. Also, I have an accent which I never tried to get rid off. Remember, we can learn and progress every day by making continuous efforts. Another thing, Ielts is hard, even for a native speaker, heard this firsthand.

I managed to score an 8 in speaking and 7.5 in writing, all thanks to your videos. An overall score of 8.5. Thank you so much Chris!

I didn't take any class or instructions from anywhere except for watching your videos and applying the strategies you teach here. I just got my IELTS results and scored an 8 band overall. I followed your videos for each section and it really helped me in scoring a good band in my first attempt with 3 day practice and preparation. 🙌🏻

From my experience if you have a good command of English and use it to communicate everyday at work don't even stress about it. I scored 8.5 in my speaking test. Just be confident during exam day and you will ace it. I didn't prepare much aside from getting to know what to expect in terms of questions asked and time I have to answer, then practiced with 3 sessions from the premium access practice tests they give when you book and pay for the exam day. Thank you for making all these videos. Took test on 14th, and got results today. L = 8.5, R = 9, W = 7, S = 7, Overall: 8. Didn't study much, only 7 days of practice for IELTS. I just followed your 'all in one' videos for all the modules and took only 3 practice tests from cambridge. I was nervous about speaking, so practiced lots of speaking topics with my friend for 3-4 days, approx 2 hours per day. And I used your mantra: Don't overdo tests, instead try to find out your weaknesses and focus on improving them. Did that only. I practiced only 3 writings, because I felt that I know what to write against a given topic, thanks to your video about 'the writing format', and all my writing outputs were of a similar band score. No matter how much I write, I cannot get more band score than what I am getting, because that's my general writing level. I really didn't try to use idioms or hard phrases or uncommon words. I wrote naturally. Mainly I targeted L and R, I knew these are with me, if I can score well here, it will save me... and that happened. Thank you again, from India. :)

Hello Ielts Advantage, i'd like to share with u my ielts result Lis: 7.5, Read: 9.0, Write: 7.0, Speak: 6.0. Overall: 7.5 All your videos help me a lot, in all skills. In Lis test, i had to deal with a difficult map but thanks to ur instruction, i done well and got 7.5 (actually lower than i expected =))). I stuggled with write and speak most. In test day, I did exactly the same as what u say. Just simplify everything and remember what the examiners want from me. 7.0 write and 6.0 are higher than my expectation 🙀🙀🙀 I really appreciate ur work and i believe that u will help more students in the future. In the future, when I graduate from university, I will take Ielts test again and i will definately choose Ielts Advantage ❤❤❤❤

I had my speaking exam today and i think i did quite well. I was fluent for almost the whole length of the test, except maybe a few times when i took pauses just to think of the proper word. This was my first time giving an IELTS exam and i pretty much binge watched all your videos and they really helped me alot. thanks for making such informative and easy to understand guides. Hopefully I'll get a good band.

Hi Chris! I just want to thank you for all your efforts in making free IELTS practice videos for us. Before I discovered your KZfaq channel, I joined several IELTS classes and didn't really get the main point of IELTS itself, therefore I felt confused and discouraged, thinking that I'd never get an overall 7+. After I discovered your channel, my eyes were wide open, I watched every single video you posted and also diligently read most of your online articles (mainly the writing section). In approximately 2-3 months of studying IELTS from you, I finally can achieve an overall 7.5, L 8.0, R 7.5, S 7.5, and W 7.0! (7.0 for writing?? I can't believe myself😅)

Hi Chris, just wanna let you know, My speaking was best. Listening was of familiar topic. I will definitely hit 6.5 or 7. Writing was about ' should young people be banned from competitive sports, some people think they feel bad when they lose' to what extent do you agree or disagree. I disagreed and mentioned about physical and mental fitness in first paragraph. In second, i mentioned about society anxiety, depression and weakness. Third, I make some point however. They can broke limbs ... explain. And conclusion. I did reading pretty good. All of you free video helped me alot. Love you chris.
