Hello, may i please know if the reading passage pattern in ielts has changed for academic. I have seen that some candidates are given 4 passages in reading. Is it so? Has the pattern changed? Should we expect 4th passage?

Thank you very much for explanation about these important things. In 2018, I had the first time Ielts test. I was really nervous about speaking test, because I was actually very bad at speaking skill. Therefore, I tried to memory and learn answers for all topics in part 1. As a result, of course part 1 was not bad (around 6-6.5 band). However, in part 2, was a difficult topic(art gallery), I had no idea about this one. So, I couldn’t talk anything even off the topic. Obviously, part 3 was the same part 2. I just said hmmm, ummm kinda like this. Finally, I got 4 of speaking skill. And now, I will have the Ielts test this month, I will never do that again. I only focus on grammar, fluency, vocab and some structures like “each has its own perks. But I tend to gravitate towards….” And “honestly, this is really intriguing question. However, it is not an area of my interest……” Hopefully, I can obtain band 6 of this skill. 😢
