Can I not write (for the writing task) that "the statement is quite subjective and this entirely depends on the kind of the study course the student is planning on pursuing?" Like for example for a Clinical course such has a medical degree,nursing etc on campus is highly advisable whereas for non-clinical courses such as leadership in health, English etc opting for an online course is accepted and encouraged? And then later on elaborate on this? Is considering a topic/statement/opinion subjective something looked down upon? Will my marks be deducted?

I have been been going through my prep test with no direction for over 2 weeks and since i started watching your videos im more intune and more informed, iv been able to structure my study plans and have applied all the breakdown your have explained on all the videos iv watched, and my prep result have improved instantly, its only been 1 week and im so confident about going to the test now. If you're reading this, you're in the right place. Master the basic structures behind this and a few other essay videos, and ideas are the only thing you'd have to think about on test day. For the benefit of anyone reading this while practicing for an upcoming test, it works! I've never quite enjoyed writing letters or essays, and so wasn't too sure of myself. Surprisingly using Jay's methods, my final score was S: 8, L: 8.5, W: 8.5, R: 8.5. Overall = 8.5. Thank you so much Jay!

Thanks for this. I'm taking my IELTS tomorrow with minimal preparation. Given that English is my first language, I thought I'd be able to ace this quite comfortably however towards the day itself, nerves started to kick in a bit so I decided to polish my skills. I find this really helpful and I even learned a thing or two extra.

I never gave much importance to my English speaking to improve my vocabulary through out my career. The moment when I decide to take IELTS and gave some practice tests from IELTS official site, then I did self evaluation and realized that its so easy. I thought that I could get the band I'm looking for. But I realized that this is not going to be so easy when I first watched your video 2 weeks ago. By this time I already booked by test date and had only 2 weeks left to prepare. Then continued to watch your videos and practiced regularly more than 6-8 hrs a day. Finally I gave my test on august 19th and I'm confident that I should get better band score than I expected. Eagerly waiting for my result. Thanks Jay. It was easy to perceive your mechanism of teaching. Especially the way you structure each modules and parts. Even while writing exams I used to play your video in my mind. I can never forget your voice. Thanks for helping me out . I would like to share some of the questions that I came across: General Test Date: August 19, 2017 Place: Montgomery, AL - USA Listening: 1. conversation between 2 persons - related to a resort booking 2. Discussion between a reporter and a manager of a company - related to a new initiative to promote bicycle usage from company 3. Discussion about Coral and sea inhabitants Reading: 1. Multiple paragraphs about an event (various things to do in event for kids, adults and timing of each events, which event offer food sampling etc. ) - Q1-Q20 2. Car Pooling - Q21 - Q30 3. History about a Canadian stampede - Q31-Q40 Writing: 1. Letter writing - Write a letter to airlines manager to let them know that you have left an item in the airlines that you traveled. Let manager know a) Details about your journey? b) What and how you lost this ? c) What do you want him to do next? 2. Essay - Some people argue that making new friends through social networking sites or internet chats is good whereas others say meeting friends face-to-face is better. Discuss advantages and disadvantages. Finally give your opinion. Speaking: Part 1 Introduction: 1. What's your name? 2. What do you do? Work or job? 3. Whether you like to continue to be in this field? 4. What time in a day you like most? 5. What time in a day you hate most and why? 6. Do you read magazines? 7. What kind of magazines you usually read? Part 2 Task card: Explain the a statue or a creative art (ex. a painting) that you have seen 1. Where and when you have seen this? 2. Why do like that? Part 3: 1. Have you done any art work? Explain? 2. Why do you think art is an important thing is life? 3. Does government need to support such things? 4. Do you think art can be used for publicity by governement? 5. What do you look at when you see a painting? 6. Does people always think the way I think? - Question based on my answer to Q4 7. What do you think the difference between a painting and an incomplete object? (I had ask the interviewer to repeat this) Repeated the question - what do you see a painting compared against a scrap object?

Hi Jay! First and foremost, I want to thank you for the tutorial videos you have uploaded here. I first took my Academic IELTS under IDP on Feb. of 2017, to which I got a 7+ score in all bands except for writing, wherein I only got 6. Seeing all of your videos on writing task 1 and 2 gave me a boost on how to attack the writing task, which for me, is the most difficult part. Upon practicing and having repeatedly watching your videos for guidance, I took up the UKVI Academic IELTS under British Council here in the Philippines on 20th of October. I just got my results yesterday which really made my day! Here were my scores. L: 8.5, R: 8.0, S: 7.0, W: 7.0 . It was surreal at first upon seeing my results online and I even had doubts especially on the speaking and writing part of the exam to which I thought I will only get 6.5. But thanks God (I got through it with immense prayers) and to you of course! I got the desired results I need! One thing that really made me think I got a 7 in writing was the usage of different types of sentences. Jay has a video about it and I think I used about 5 types of it. Anyways, thank you again Jay for an amazing job you are doing! Good Luck and God Bless to those who will take this beast especially on writing!

Secondly, if u can remember pls can u tell if you wrote the last sentence of the intro in similar structure as suggested by Jay on this vid (i.e. in generic tone as opposed to giving exact detail eg of what advantages/ disadvantages are, etc)?? I got the IELTS results and got an 8.5(L/S/R/W-8.5/8/9/7.5)overall score.I was immensely helped by all of the KZfaq videos by Jay,especially the speaking(PPF method),writing(different types of sentences,two idea paragraphs,3 sentence introduction etc),reading(true/false/not given) were all very useful in understanding what the examiners are looking for while grading and how we can prepare accordingly.I cannot thank you enough for the superior content you are providing free of cost.I will recommend E2 learning for any Englist test aspirants.You don't need to go for any other classes if you are following the E2 learning content for English

In the introduction, shouldn't we include the main ideas in the thesis statement, to give a summarized view of the rest of the essay? Learnt it from your lessons. Thanks E2IETS Team
