I got overall 7.5. L-9, R-7.5, W-7, S-7. My advice to achieve good score is pure practice. I did 30 listening Practice test, 15 Reading Practice test, 10 Writing Practice, 25 Speaking Practice test under exam conditions. And then self evaluation. Keep it simple for speaking & writing. Try to narrate real life story for speaking Task-2. It will be easy to speak than on the spot brainstorming within 30-40 seconds.

No words, Chris, your IELTS course is awesome. For the past few months, I have been learning from lots of ebooks related to the grammar needed for IELTS, and I was so confused about how to use articles like 'a', 'an', and 'the'. I looked at many KZfaq videos and ebooks, but nothing worked. After purchasing your course and looking at the grammar section, especially on articles, I was shocked. You have just taught me in an easy way about specific/familiar and general/unfamiliar usage. These two sentences from your VIP course are still in my mind: 1. ‘There’s been an accident.’ 2. ‘He’s been depressed since the accident.’ I have no words for how on earth I understood using articles in just a day. Hi Chris! Want to thank you for the writing tips. I never participated in any ielts class or did any formal practice tests, just want to check my English skill without any training. However your instructions was the key for the structure of my writing task. My overall band score is 8. L - 9.0 R - 8.0 W - 7.5 S - 7 Am disappointed with my speaking though, usually I’m talkative and I’m aware of my answers being on point. So not sure what went wrong. Anyway, really appreciate your stuffs, it really helped.

I was fairly confident about all the sections with the exception of writing, so I went through a bunch of your videos three days before the exam and I was able to apply your strategies to improve my writing.

i completely followed your videos only for writing and speaking as these were my weak points and got 7 and 8 respectively with overall band 8. Your advices were quite different from others but i took the risk because i felt whatever you said made more sense. I was given three days to prepare for an EPT (English Placement Test) in order to to be permitted to enter for a masters degree (online with a UK university). The minimum IELTS is band 6. Thank you for the videos. Passed with a IELTS band 7 and permitted to enrol. The band 7 also permitted me to enrol in another UK university. Thanks again.

Hi Chris. I promised I'll come back to testify. I took the test for the first time on the 25th of May and my results came in today. I scored an overall of 7.5 with L= 8.5, R=6.5, W=7.0 and S= 7.0. Hey @ieltsadvantage I managed to score an ovr 8 with 7.5 in writing, 7.5 in speaking, and 9 in listening. Messed up reading with a disgusting 7 because I was exhausted. However, I was mocking reading at 8.5 ;-; I'll do better next time ❤❤❤ thanks a ton ❤❤

thanks to your videos and tips, I got band 7.0 in IELTS lis&read 7.5, wri 7.0, spe 6.5. I was really confident to get band 7.0 in speaking but I was nervous, I did too much hesitation, so just got 6.5. However I was surprised with writing, I thought I just got 6.0 or 6.5 in wri because 80% i've learned writing by myself without tutor to correct my essays, I have learned for IELTS for 1 year and I wrote under 10 essays, 1 week before the exam, I started to learn the tips and most my time was for yours videos without any practice, I realized that simple essay is ok and I applied it in my first IELTS exam, I wrote a clear overview for task 1 and simple ideas, vocabularies, answering all questions and focusing on coherence for task 2, I did everything like your essay, I didn't really care about the suggestion of my tutor like high level vocab or complex ideas...😅. I finally got band 7 in writing, I was higher than I expected. Thank you so much, your tips and videos are so great and useful🥰😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏

Imo I feel like it's so rare to have someone get 7 in writing, while having other bands less than 8 which in your case is quite interesting. 7 in writing not even simple

I don't think I'd do well with writing this time though, because I haven't patched up my major grammatical flaws, especially the subject-verb agreement.. But there's no time now. I might consider retaking writing test xd

Can you please explain the difference between the questions - do you agree or disagree and to what extent do you agree or disagree? If I answer smth like: I fully support this idea... or I totally disagree... would it be acceptable in both cases or not?

Your techniques and videos are awesome. I wanted to confirm either 6.625 would be considered C1 or B2. According to the IELTS website the borderline between 6.5 and 7 is C1 and. Would you please confirm?

Hello Mr. Chris. I've been teaching IELTS for over 20 years and I find your videos extremely helpful. Most of my students (I'm in Uzbekistan) come in with a high pre-intermediate or low-intermediate level of English. There are so many language centers here that promise a 7 or higher in 2 months. In your expert opinion, how long does a student need to study for IELTS in order to get a 7.5 or higher? Assuming 3 lessons a week, each lesson being 1 hr 20 m? Also assuming they put forth honest effort and do the work? I try to set the right expectation but the students or their parents want the magic wand or miracle pill.

Hello sir, i have a doubt. Whenever i practice from Cambridge books, i get good scores but doing any other difficult book just reduces my score. So would it be enough if I solely practice through cam books?
