Your questions answered:
❓ Should I plan my essay?
📚 Yes, a good plan acts like a map that guides you through your essay. This keeps your argument clear and your writing focused.
❓ How many words should I write?
📚 You must write at least 250 words in your Task 2 essay (and the examiners WILL count them!)
❓ Can I use idioms?
📚 No, idioms are not appropriate for an academic essay.
❓ Should I write a conclusion?
📚 Yes, it is the last thing the examiner will read so your conclusion should be strong.
❓ How can I guarantee a Band 7?
📚 YOU need to do the work!

Passed my IELTS test about a week ago and got an overall score of 7.5. Could have done better if I read the essay question *CAREFULLY* just like Chris always says lol. Wrote my essay THEN noticed i didn't understand the question correctly so i had to rewrite the whole thing all over again... lost time but somehow managed to finish task 1 in the remaining 10 minutes of the test. Obviously had no time to check for any mistakes (im sure i had a lot since i tend to make spelling mistakes when typing and my examples might have been not so relevant because i tried to fit them into my new essay :(( ) yet still got 6.5 for writing! Thanks to Chris and this channel (mind you i had no VIP course) i learned how to structure well and answer the questions clearly which saved me on the exam day!! T^T. For other sections I got higher scores: listening 9.0, reading 7.5 (had to go use the bathroom during the test and lost about 4 min), speaking 7.0. Sorry for the lengthy comment😶‍🌫

The amount of time utilized by the children with their family is less as compared to with their friends from recent times. The main cause of this is that young adults feel more comfortable to talk about anything with their friends and find their company more interesting as compared to their parents. In my opinion, kids should not be forced by their parents and enforce them to spend time with them as this will hamper their social skills. To commence with, this has always been a tendency among human beings that with their peers, they feel more of a comfort. This is because, with playmates, they feel no pressure, and can talk about anything independently. Furthermore, they find the company of their companion to be more enjoyable, which is due to the fact that they tend to share almost everything, and have fun doing so. For instance, my cousin used to talk with his friend without any hesitation and share his everyday activity, while he had to think twice before doing so with his family. On the other hand, if youngsters are compelled by their parents to spend the time that they have at home then it will halt their social skills. This is because, if adolescents remain at home, the exposure they will get from society will be minimal. Consequently, they will not be able to adapt themselves according to society. For instance, a kid who stays at home most of the time will stay away from people, and will not be able to know how to communicate with others efficiently. To conclude, although I think, young adults spend the majority of their time with their friends than their family; however, they should not be forced to stay at home by their parents as this will lead to them not being able to learn the skills required in society.

In the current era, youngster allocate their most of the time with friends and not with family. This has mainly because they share same thoughts, hence love to spend time with the similar group. I belief that parents should concentrate on child by focusing them closely and not by being strict to them like allow them to stay at home. This essay will elaborate both the ideas in detail. To begin with, the reason on child rapid behavior change can be considered by firstmost about the amount of time they spend with same group. They are together from starting of the day till evening hence they fill more comfortable to share each other thoughts and do mischief. In school breaks, for instance, they have liberty to do mischief and they feel it more enjoyable so result they wanted to continue it. An other reason could be they wanted to celebrate birthdays in their groups only. Generally learners have large group and they are more excited to celebrate special day with same age group. Now looking at the other part of question where parents can involve to stop this. Although elders wanted to control them by restricting their time, however this is not the right path to choose. The prime reason is, they are growing state of mind and by forcing them it looks parents are controlling their lives. Most of the time adults do perform self assessing and inform elders about the routine but then also if elder control them it build untrust environment in house. For example, ratio of adults living independently calculated by authority and they confirmed that many young people leave the house to build independent life so by this mean no parents involvement. To conclude, many young face spend most to the time with same group and not with elders because they feel more friendly with them. Also, parenting means not to control their schedule but to get access to their lives by just little involvement.

Thank you for this video. My essay is bellow: In my opinion, young adults should spending time with their friends than their parents. Nowadays, the young adults would like to spend time with their friends than their parents. Here is the reason: the young adults is mature enough to live without their parent so they could spend time with friend. For example: the young adults in America test session shows 80 % young adults spend time with their friends has more mature behaviors. The parents usually want their child has more time at home . But in my opinion, the young adults shouldn't at home because they have to go out and make more connection in social, these connection could be the opportunities for their future. For example, young adults can make more money through relationship with their friends in the research session of American Academy World Society. Summary, young adults are mature enough to live without their parents also they may spend less time with their parent at home and parents should not force their child to stay at home.

Thanks Chris for the opportunity. Below is my essay answer. It has been recently noticed that the younger adults prefer to stay with friends, rather than staying at home. I believe this is so because, parents are less available nowadays and also, there are more interesting activities that the younger adult gets to enjoy with friends. However, I do not support the fact that cohesive measures are needed to reverse the trajectory. The quality of time spent by parents with their wards is progressively diminishing, as a lot of them are engaged in several activities outside the home so as to make ends meet. Also, technological and entertainment advancements, have created a wide gap between the preferences of the older parents and their younger adults. For instance, a first year university student would prefer to spend time with friends seeing a hollywood movie at the cinema, than with the parents at home. Even thought, it is important that parents devise means of making their wards stay more at home, mounting pressure on them could incur more damages in that, the children could interprete such actions as a threat to their freedom. Also, they might begin to feel more uncomfortable staying at home thereby spending more time with friends to avoid parental rebukes. Therefore, even though young adults are becoming more absent at home engaging themselves more with their friends, parental unavailability as well as myriad of activities which are better enjoyed with friends could be major causes. Parents should not adopt threatening methods in ensuring that they reverse this because, it could results in more evil that the intended good.

Recently, younger-stars and adults both are more likely to spend their time with their companions rather than their family. This is because lack of interacting parents and parents must be taken care of it. Most of the children find difficulty when it comes to spend quality time with their parents because nowadays parents are not usually giving time with their children, as they are more involving in their work. And this lead them not only spend time with friends but also addict on mobile phone. For example, my uncle and aunt always leave their only child at home and he always plays with his cousins they became more friendly so that even if his parents are on holiday he does not like to spend time with them. Parents must foster their children by spending spare time when they get. This is because it will develop their cognitive skills and moral ideals. It is important on the perspective of relationship, the more parents can engage with their children the more he will spend time with his parents. For instance, i am very fond of my mother i always feel sad when she is not around me she is my best friend . I believe when parents became friends no one feel depressed easily as they are already on your back. In conclusion, although it is certainly need to spend time with friends, anyone must not neglect by spending time with their parents as well as.

Thank you for this fantastic video and this wonderful opportunity to get feedback. Here is my essay: IELTS WRITING TASK-2 On recent times, young adults are spending less time with their families and more time with friends. Why has this occurred? Do you think parents should force their children to spend time at home? Answer: Nowadays, young men and women tend to enjoy the company of their friends over their blood relatives which led to the question: whether parents should restrict their upbringings to pass time at their home? I strongly do not believe in this ideology since we all have our own choices and we are the one to decide who we are comfortable with. To begin with, let us the question: why do the juveniles reaching adulthood pass more time with their friends than their family members? There are a number of reasons for this but the most important one is that they are the ones with whom they feel free and relaxed. It is without a doubt that whenever anyone make friends, he or she is fairly selective with whom they making with. People are keen on those with whom they can share similar interests and those they can discuss their personal problems, get comfort and eventually feel better. Unfortunately, this not possible with relatives for a handful of reasons. First of all, many of the family members nowadays do not even live under the same roof, in fact, some members may have been never seen by others until a special occasion occurs. Such people are often not in contact with others so common likes cannot be easily be shared. To make matters worse, sharing dark times is often hesitated as it may ruin their prestige which is often deemed vital in many societies. On the contrary, with friends it is often assuring that secrets are more likely to be safe. However, guardians believe that family bond is crucial and it must be retained. This is true nonetheless forcing children to be at home will not improve this and may rather deteriorate the situation as children will fail to learn social skills which are important in our society. Instead, parents can invite their kith and kin on a daily basis in order to strengthen the bond. Also, by encouraging the young in local clubs such as sports clubs in presence of other members will greatly benefit them since after then they will able to find common interests and get to know each other better. In conclusion, people enjoy the presence of friends over family since they know each other better but if parents want their children to spend more time with family, then other than forcing them to do so they should turn towards methods which would make their family members into friends. This will in turn create a bond that is everlasting and much stronger. (424 words)

Spending time plays a significant role in their life due to the effect of your companion's attitude and, the development of certain habits. Youngster love to spend more time with friends rather than family. However, If parents have not become friendly with their children then adults want to spend time with their aged-related friends. Further, yes, I agree that parents should push their children to use up time at home rather than outside the home. The fact that parents are quite strictly deal with their adults and nowadays younger are not prefer to live in a very tough environment they want to stay in a friendly atmosphere due to this reason they do not want to spend extra time with their family members For instances if adults come at home after their study or work they need some affectionate space as they want to do freely what they want. However, if parents are not much flexible and they do not provide a good space it leads youngstersyoungsters close to their friends and shares all the thing related to their life. Secondly, parents should give some space to their adults moreover they should teach their youngsters to stay more at home and be close to them. In addition, parents spent more time with their children to become closer to adults, for instance, parents should discuss their studies, and plan and not only talk but also do some activities such as, regularly going to the park for walking or running its better way to stay healthy as well in addition parents go to market with their child and do all the things from which they connect to touch Adults have spent greater time with friends as compared with family members due to a lack of understanding between parents and youngsters its happened mostly because parents have not close to their children and parents need more friendly and close to their children.

In the recent time a lot of parents have complained about their children not spending time with them. But why young people love to be with their friends more? In my opinion, friends can means a lot to young adult and children. They are the one we play the most with, and can tell them everything even our secrets without thinking too much, what, or how to say . At the young age we spend most of our time at school, so I believe friend at that time very important to us. We discover the world, and even doing things for the first time together. But does that mean we should spend less with our family? Overall, children should not be forced to spend time with their parents, but parents should understand, that this a phase everybody will go through. And forcing will lead to more hate. The best way is to be like friends with them. But instead parents should try to talk to them, give them some personal space, so they can feel free. Make home a place they can feel the most comfortable. I can understand that young people want to be independent, and be seen as an adult. And want to have more freedom, which they believe they don’t have with their parents. But having time with our family is important too. The best solution is managing their days, so they can give their families at least an hour a day. In the end of the day friend and family both of them are important in our life. And having them is a blessing.

Recently, teenagers spent most of their time with friends rather than their families. This is because of busy schedule of parents and I think parents should create time for leisure with their kids. Nowadays, many youths don't stay at home with their loved ones because, caregivers are so engross with their Jobs and work 7 - 7 leaving their kids to fend for themselves through out the day or with grandparents. Also, lack of good communications distance adolescent from their parents because they come home tired from the stress of work. However,Youngsters find solace with their peer groups and tend to communication better with them. For example, youths tends to focus more on their phones chatting with friends or prefers to play video games. On the other hand, I think parents should not force their kids to stay at home, but to remedy the situation by creating time for leisure at least once in a week to create bound with their young ones and this will gradually improve their relationship. Also, good communication skills should be created, caregivers should communicate with their kids on daily bases. For instance, parents should ask their children how their day was, what are they feeling, if they have anything to share with them and check on them regularly. In conclusion, parents should create time for their kids and improve their communication skills.

Hello Chris, My name is Dang and I'm a twelfth grade student from Vietnam. Thank you so much for the free essay correction you're giving out, I have already written some essays and have been hoping to get some correction so this is an absolutely amazing opportunity. I can't stress how happy I am. Thank you so so so much. Below is my essay, I hope it can be a good one. Have a great day Chris! Giving lectures in auditoriums to large numbers of students is an old way of teaching. With the technology available today there is no justification for it, and everything should be done online. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give your own opinion.   Some people believe lectures given in auditoriums to many students is an outdated method of teaching, and with modern technology, we should do everything online. I disagree with the above notion, as students are less likely to focus well in online lectures, and many problems arises with the usage of current software by non-specialized people. Students sitting in online lectures suffer from a loss of focus. When left alone in their room, these students are free from the watchful eyes of the teacher and can do whatever they want. If the option exists to slack off and play video games, many would choose to do so. For example, when a Vietnamese university performed a survey about how focused students are in class, they found that those who participated in online classes were only focused half of the duration of the lectures, while the students in offline classes were focused ninety percent of the time. Not only are online lectures bad because of their effect on a student’s performance but they are also easily disrupted by technical errors when normal teachers have to deal with modern programs. This is because the user interfaces of these programs are often littered with confusing wording, poorly-placed buttons, and bad graphics. A report from the University of Texas showed that most lecturers there who are not experts in the field of computers and electronics have great difficulty navigating around Zoom, the current most popular online teaching program. In conclusion, online lectures pose many problems in the face of their benefits. A lack of skills in people using modern technology and a loss of focus in students who attend these lectures prevents lectures from being online.

It is certainly true that adults are like to spend their majority of time with their friends than with their parents. There may be same age effects for this,, in my opinion parents may use other ways to teach them for spending time with their family. There is a reason Why matured children's preference of spending major time with their friends. This is because they have no age difference. So freely they can share their ideas and feeling's with each others. One more cause that they can enjoy their friends company more due to they have not any kind of rules and regulations between them. The parents can run various schemes to keep their children at home. It can providing a lesson to them about the value of time which they are spend at home with their parents. So children can understand that giving their time to parents is essential and it is their first priority. Moreover parents have no need to force their children for staying indoors. If their children's have good group of friends. In conclusion, youngster love to spend their time with friends due to age affection, so in my view parents use other alternative ways to teach them about spending time with family than to force them.

Recently, adolescents spend less time with their families and more time with their friends. This mainly happens due to the difference in the interests of both children and their parents, in addition, there are a lot of tasks for parents to do to ensure a good life for their children. I believe that parents should attract their children to spend more time with them. Firstly, adolescents are mature enough, thus, they start looking for their interests such as studying and playing games. They tend to participate with several activities to ensure that their day is full. Since their interests are different from their parents’ interests, they will choose to spend more time with their friends. Secondly, most of the parents are both working in full time jobs which means that they don’t have enough time for their children. This leads teenagers to go out and hang with their friends, and by the time, they even forget their parents. I think parents should not force their children to spend time at home, instead, they can read about what attracts those teenagers and how to bring them close enough. They can allocate some time each day for a small meeting at home and doing some attractive activities such as playing football, reading an interesting book, or cooking. This strengthens the connection between teenagers and their parents, and they become as friends. In conclusion, a strong relationship must be built between teenagers and their parents by increasing the hours of meeting. This can be done by doing attractive activities that bring those adolescents close to their families.
