True, however that's a different topic all together. This is about owning up to what a person does without making it be about the other person or persons. Being accountable for our own actions, without deflecting trying to put/place blame outside of self.

@@shaundramiller6448 I agree. I guess I was thinking about my own situation where there is no change, because of this someone not taking responsibilities. The two problems go hand in hand. Me thinks.

I just recently severed ties with someone because of this very issue. I was the type of person to “match energy with energy”, especially if a person was being negative. But I changed my mindset and now I focus on maintaining my energy and peace. A person who lacks accountability and/or deflects can quickly turn into an emotional vampire- draining you. Protect your peace!

Say it louder for all the people in the back… I had to go no contact for over six months because he would always say I did that because you did so and so or I said that because you said so, and so…rarely would he say yes I did that or said that and I sincerely apologize and it won’t happen again! His accountability always came with his excuses🙄😤

Yes exactly 💯 My ex used to take wrong decisions, wrong actions, which brought bad results repeatedly, but he took no accountability for almost anything ever, and was never willing to even listen to any good advice. He was not willing to admit any mistakes, or hurtful behaviors, and take accountability and be and say sorry.. He was simply always right about everything and was in a serious victim mentality.. how everyone was so unfair to him, but what he was doing or not doing properly to create problems, that he ignored, that doesn't matter... everything was always everyone else's fault and just unfortunate circumstances...

@@TeacherMom80 Thank you dear! 💖 Things didn't really get much better. We broke up, we got back together, but we are still long distance, since years, due to circumstances, I didn't get visa to the US and he is always busy with other duties or having financial issues, so could not come to meet me still. He always prioritized other things, family and building career over resolving the distance, while he keeps saying he loves me, wants be together, get married, have kids etc. I know he wants all these, but he just keeps taking detrimental decisions again n again, n he can't see that, or just can't do better... he is trying but he keeps messing things up with bad work, financial, charity or "buying things" choices... Anyways it's a long story. I'm pretty tired of his ideas, choices, decisions, and lack of cooperation, or listening to good advice, or trying my ideas too... He got a new job now, let's see if we move forward within a few months. Otherwise I don't think I will keep waiting for him to get things right...

@@champachandrika3113 I'm sorry to hear about all of the struggles. It must certainly be difficult to form & maintain a reliable, nurturing relationship under such circumstances. Sounds like he may have ADHD perhaps. Untreated Trauma issues can cause similar behaviors. Maybe he never had a good mentor or parents to model the skills needed to lead a healthy life/marriage as an adult. Or maybe he's just giving you the run around. IDK. It's nobody's business but yours. Do your best to state your needs within the relationship & to let him know that you're willing to work through whatever challenges each of you may face together, but he has to be willing to take responsibility for his behavior, too. And to commit to creating a future together, come what may. You're eggs are only good for so long. Women can't wait forever, nor should you have to. If he truly loved you, he'd never want to let you go or e apart, in my opinion, I less he comes from a culture where he was taught to develop a successful career before marriage so he could comfortably support a family. Have a heart to heart with him. You need & deserve to be loved! You both do. Every human needs love & reliable companionship. Be true to yourself. God bless you. Wishing you both the best!

That's an awesome share! I have only caught my husband in one lie but he deflects constantly and I've been strongly desiring to know if he has lied to me more than once and if so how many times has he really lied to me and what has he lied about. Because, one of the biggest reasons why I haven't given up in my marriage is because I believe I can trust him.

It's what broke my relationship. A partner who stated always bring up issues so we can always work through and step forward, together. The moment I did, I got destroyed, yelled at, put down, and I brought it up very respectfully. It's for the best, for sure, it's over. I hate people who lie.

Omg that sounds so familiar. I was told to run to him, not from him. He was such a drama king who always kicked it off. He wanted to "talk" with too much aggression, and wouldn't let it go. It wasn't just me. Everyone else was always the problem...His parents, his child, the child's mother, his friends, and even his customers. He was the common denominator, but had no accountability whatsoever.

Stephan thank you for letting this message become knowledgeable of discernment of individuals that do not revolve around daily life responsibilities. This is apart of allowing deflection to enter if they are not doing their part (which are general responsibilities) of survival to maintain general life responsibilities for living. If you can not take care of yourself, how will you take care of a FAMILY? 🏠💯😞

I cannot say from a professional standpoint that he is a narcissist however, I can truly say he does possess narcissistic traits… he lacks empathy for others, he thrives on attention and admiration, he hast to be right all the time, he is either the hero or the victim in any given situation and he does not take accountability for his wrongdoing and he is emotionally immature usually throwing a temper tantrum🙄🤬

Many try to rationalize their own actions & bad behavior based upon what others have done 🤯 Crazy thing is, the people who do this, they wouldn’t want to be treated this way. Why do they believe that it’s ok for them to do it? 🤔 TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED… with GODLY LOVE❤️ The Bible says for us to love one another… Love your neighbor as yourself… etc. The Bible is our template of how we ought to live 💯❤️🙏🏼

I pray for him. I forgive him. But I won't be manipulated by his ways anymore.he can't see well or hear well. I thought maybe that had something to do with it. Thank you. Stephan.
