Your clearly lost if you think this will be concluded this season after a FIVE year investigation. Your also confused if you think it’s likely any punishment will include the current season when it is dealing with at least five years ago. A fine will make the LEAST sense as punishment if found guilty. The problem is financial - it doesn’t make sense to then make them spend more money to get out of the situation which got them in it in the first place. They’ve spent to gain advantage, to win. If you want to punish them, it has to be the opposite of what they desired e.g. not allowing them to play in the top competitions; not allowing them to spend or buy players (an embargo); a deduction of points. In that order in terms of how lenient you want to be. But a fine makes zero sense and actually makes the matter worse - for all parties concerned. In my opinion

The most they'll get is a Juve style punishment......... 15 points deduction NEXT SEASON, a £30+ million fine and probably a 1-2 year transfer embargo. The fine is nothing for them, it's small change for owners like they've got.

A 4 window buying sanction, compensation, and 20 points deduction seems to be fair. Most of the star players including pep will walk away if this happens. If they are found guilty there will be a stain on every title they’ve ever one and no one will want to be known for that.

I question FIFA why they have so little control over players value in general similar to NHL and salary. Set a value roof - eveything else involved in football will be available at a much lower price Tv, season tickets, advertisements etc. And to use govermental gass/oil dont help on this topic it get much worse - like Norway goverment should spend it on a club in Norway or England like PSG, City, and Newcastle is foolish with the total amount of money available. Why is Liverpool need to sell all in a sudden? They cant afford a rebuild or compete vs oil clubs?

Guardiola will not want to get caught up in all this and will be gone. As people are saying, it will be interesting to see what punishment they get, if/when they get found guilty. Will we have one rule for the rich and powerful, as it usually is and another for the poor and will City get away with it?...it will be interesting to find out. "IF" what is said is true, with a hundred plus charges, "We are going to deduct you 9 points, give you a 50p fine and don't be naughty Boys ever again", is going to cut it this time.

If teams had to stay below 75million debt...it be interesting. Nearly every top club has huge debt from player buying and running it. Look at Barca they owe Messi wages... Only people that can own sports teams and wipe money out are the scrupulous businessmen. To go watch a game soon will be like a concert, at least £100 a ticket upto £500 or a higher increase to a season ticket. In the States, I was shocked that NHL game, top tier team ringside seats is £200+ per seat or season ticket is £10000+.

He won't leave over FFP. If people think that Pep isn't fully aware that City have been cooking their books then you aren't giving him enough credit. It's clear to everyone that City are up to something dodgy with their financing. Everyone can see how blatant it is when a club like City with a fanbase so much smaller than Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United or Liverpool is somehow bringing in a higher commercial revenue than all of them, when they can't even sell out their own stadium! People can't be that stupid. Pep couldn't give a toss about FFP. The only thing that will make Pep leave City is if they were banned from European competition.

The case will be dragged and City will eventually be given a slap on the wrist💀 My issue is, teams like Juventus get punished but City should be above that? Let's just get rid of the rules since they can be breached without serious repercussions. Every team that has been punished/bullied in the name of FFP should be compensated... because they were penalised for offences that won't be taken seriously if you have enough money. City is clearly the media's golden child. They can do no wrong. Apparently the best team in Europe (with zero European trophies💀) Players like Benzema and Modric can win the ballon d'or but they are aren't as special as KDB💀 Phil Foden is apparently on par with Vinicious Jnr💀 City have more fans than United or Liverpool 💀 they earn more than the latter and former ...AND the likes of Madrid and Barcelona💀 Yes, City are excellent but it really felt like we were being forced to accept them as the pinnacle of footballing. Bayern could get through a tough group with maximum points but the media would be all over City going for a treble and quadruple just because they got through a mid group💀 The media will claim that non-English leagues are not on the same level as the Premier League and yet, the best players and best teams in Europe come from these 'lesser' leagues. It's okay to punish Juventus but not Man City from England?
