I HAVE WITNESSED THAT NEIGHBOR. I used to work for a board up company and we were on call by the cities in the regions we worked for. The fire dept was finishing putting out a two story house. I was walking around taking measurements when the next door neighbor came out and started yelling at the fire dept to move their truck while they were cleaning up and rolling up their hoses. I was astounded and they were pissed at his attitude.

Not even a firefighter and I have seen this. Elderly woman took a misstep and fell on her wrist in the parking lot outside of where I worked. I have first aid training so I headed over but a middle aged woman got there first, announced that she was a nurse, and proceeded to try to haul this poor old woman up by her arm! It was turning into a bit of a situation so I retreated inside for help when the "nurse" marched in just as I got to the part in the story where she'd said she was a nurse and she heard me. Started flipping out on me because that wasn't what she'd *meant*, she wasn't really a nurse, she just wanted to move the victim because she was blocking her SUV!

My mother was an EMT and a nurse. She would have loved your content. She's told us so many stories about Going on calls and nursing as well. When she was on call for the ambulance, if there was one flake of snow that fell from the sky, she would put her uniform on. I asked her once why she did that and she said, "As soon as the first flake falls, people forget how to drive." Sure enough a few minutes later and her radio would go off and she'd be gone half the night.
@MegaKat Жыл бұрын
Hahaha your momma had it right! When I was an EMT and a CNA, I'd just throw my shit on and go on ahead and go in! Better to be there when the snow falls, than have to drive in it and wind up as a patient -- because nobody down here knows how to drive in the snow.

Reminder that Frontline was largely created to skirt the bad publicity Verizon faced when it openly tried to price gouge and throttle the network First Responders were using while fighting wildfires. They are in very few ways associated with FirstNet, the network that is actually directly aimed and exclusively available to First Responders. FirstNet is also wholly more capable of helping First Responders due to to it's aim at their needs and has a much wider availability of dedicated apps and devices.

I once parked two blocks away from a pallet fire in Paterson so I could get some pictures. When I came back there was a hose in front of my car. All I did was ask if I could drive over it and I was informed "No ". So I spent another 2 hours there taking pictures. 🫡 The funny thing happened. There was a house next door to the fire. A woman was trying to charge people $20 to go upstairs and take pictures including reporters. Nobody took her up on the offer even though her open window had a clear view of the fire and would have made for great shots. (I didn't have $20) 😢 A little while later somebody started yelling "Hey there's another fire!!" It turned out her open window allowed ashes to fly inside and start her house on fire. 🔥

In every state, there is a statute or code reference for "interfering with a government official". There is also a reference for "interfering with 911 response". While the latter is usually applied to the communications portion, the response cycle is not complete until personnel have engaged the situation, so this may fall under that. If we want to test the prosecutor's resolve, there is also the reference for "unlawful detention", a form of kidnapping, in barring a person from lawful free movement. "Reckless endangerment" is a charge that goes without saying, in that an uncontrolled fire hazards people in any downwind structure, by fire or by combustion irritants, even if the original structure is known to be unoccupied.
@AlexandarHullRichter Жыл бұрын
@@mightymystery9204 you're stretching. Unlawful detention is a landlord violation, not a form of kidnapping. It's also a tort, not a crime. If your other references are as stretched as that, I'd say none of those statutes are useful.
