"If I can dream of a better land, where all my brothers walk hand in hand."
It's 2020, a new decade and I can't believe it has started with a world of deadly disease, police brutality and racism.
I'm not great at addressing issues like this or explaining how I feel. I'm a musician and I express my thoughts and feelings through songs.
I covered this anthem, written by Earl Brown and sung by Elvis Presley, a while back. It's a song about injustice, anger, love & hope for peace. I could never have anticipated that it would be released in such a pivotal time for equal rights.
It’s out now and it only feels right to donate 100% of proceeds from this track to The Black Lives Matter movement, to help anybody who’s hurting right now.
I can't give an answer to all of this craziness but I can offer three and a half minutes of music.
And let's keep working together to not only dream of a better land but unite for a fairer land x
