I hope to never have to choose only 5 houseplants to have, but if I'm in that position, I am ready. What are your picks if you only had to choose 5 houseplants to have? I know. It's difficult to think about lol.

I honestly love your experiments; because you limit your number of plants, you can really get to know the ones you have. I’m really working on achieving that. I’ve been reducing the amount of Hoya I have so I can better learn the ones I have left.

Thank you so much Ebony! I don’t blame you for collecting Hoyas though, it’s so addicting 😭. If I had more space lol, not sure if I would have this much control.

@@Botanibabies yes, my plants are definitely smaller, but I struggle with not buying more. TBF they are cheaper than jewelry. 😂

Yes!! I find that when plants are too fussy, it takes the fun out of it. I’m not really up for anymore challenges these days lol 😭

I need another aloe plant. I bought one and recently used it on our son when he broke out in some kind of rash on his body and it calmed his itchiness when topical ointment and Benadryl did not work and just made things worse. Now my small aloe plant is looking bald 😆. Love your aloe plants. You have so many I’m jealous 😁.

That is so weird, because my whole body broke into hives recently! I have never had that happen in my entire life. It was so uncomfortable that I also used the aloe to sooth the itching. It was really bad, I ended up going to the doctor 🥴. Aloes are so great, it really does work magic on rashes! I hope your son is doing better. Itching is the worst!!

I've only recently gotten into Hoyas, the compacta was my first. I had it for about 4 or 5 months and it's done well, so I picked up 2 australis and a Chelsea. Loving them almost as much as my peperomias

Definitely easy to get hooked on collecting! Peperomias very recently were my favorites (until my thrips 😭). There are so many different types and they otherwise grew so well! Shocked my Hoyas were spared but I honestly think it’s because the leaves are so thick. Have any of your Hoyas bloomed? I really want a purple bloom 🤗

@@Botanibabies I don't think I've had them long enough to bloom yet. I was warned by an old lady at my local nursery when I bought my Chelsea that the scent can be over powering, not a bad smell, just strong lol but I know they have beautiful flowers so I can't wait til they do bloom

Yes the blooms are quite fragrant! Mine aren’t too strong though, it’s almost one of those scents where you can’t quite figure out where it’s coming from. Smells kinda like chocolate!
