I just gotta say I love the fact it’s explicitly said that Bane is disgusted by what scarecrow and mother are doing to orphaned children. Maybe I’m reading too far into it, but I like to think of that as foreshadowing for beans eventual (offscreen) redemption in Arkham Knight where he decides to bring down the drug cartels after witnessing children dying as a result of the gang war. Bane might be on monster, but even he respects the “don’t harm kids” rule… except for Robin and Batgirl, but that goes without saying

God I love that little tie in with Jason becoming Robin. I love the show don't tell way you went about him, the moment I heard you talk about Dick and the orphan boy, I knew it was Jason. I just like how intense the story becomes and the bittersweet ending. Its such a great note to leave it on. This was so enjoyable to listen to. Hope to see more videos like these

Very impressive that you made Prometheus the main antagonist, how about the Gentleman ghost as a side mission and this would have been good to rewrite the Tim Burton’s Batman movies.

You should add baby face from Batman brave and the bold as a side mission. It’s Random but interesting, you can play it as the Arkham knight two face mission mixed with the Arkham knight hush mission. I also think that it should be a mission made for robin and batgirl 🔥🔥

Yeah, this game would fit right in as a RGG game. Multiple playable characters, side quests, and come on, you'd get giddy if you saw a Batman dynamic intro.

Asking for a lot here. But I always thought that a game covering Batman joking the Justice League would be a great time. Although SSKTJL is highly despised by the Arkham community, I do really like the idea of Superman bringing Bruce back into the light, and think a game covering Arkham Batman’s perceptive as he meets the Justice League and encounters threats greater than anything he’s faced before would make for a fantastic and interesting story

Have to say, I really like how well you played out the theme of family through this. That it's all through the game, on both the heroes (obviously the bat family, and the Gordons) and the villains (Prometheus and Mother, but also touched on with Talia and Ra's, and Joker's weird act) sides is interesting. I also felt like there was a secondary, but related theme of handling change, but I'm not sure it was fully intended. Either way, well done. Having multiple characters bring up a theme several times in a story without getting repetitive . . . well, even some professionals can't do it. Not sure if the similarities with Arkham Knight were coincidence, intentional, or a mix, but I liked them. Similar for allusions to other DC material. Definitely something I would play.

Really liked some of the gameplay ideas here. Robin just trying to survive in the middle of a fight between Croc and Bane sounds so cool and the reverse Freeze fight with Talia really tickles my brain.

I'm only an hour in and, don't get me wrong, it's cool, but we've had quite a few hallucinatory sequences so far? With Ivy, Mother *and* Scarecrow, there's a lot of mind control going on in this story. We all loved these sequences in the other games, but it just seems like a lot, at least at the point I've hit. Also... man, Black Mask just doesn't get a break, does he? He always seems to be at the bottom of whatever totem pole exists in these stories until he's unceremoniously offed by Red Hood in his DLC from Knight.

Find it odd that you excluded Prometheus’ origin (that of his criminal parents being killed by cops) as it does explain all of his actions

Not bad but a few changes could have made it so much more impactful: 1) Batman's return could have been held off a bit, like say 3 months. Have scenes of Batman becoming more unhinged, have Dick knock him out quitting as Robin (like the animated series) 2) Have Batgirl take over as the protector of Gotham, have Superman make cameo's talking to Batman, Batgirl and Dick. Dick in particular Superman invites him to the Fortress of Solitude, where he learns of the tail of Nightwing. Have a few Superman and Batgirl team-ups in Gotham while Dick remains out of the picture 3) Batman returns in a Azrael-Batman style suit of armor (complete with all the Azrael-Batman style gadgets and gloves) and is completely unhinged and very different. Even change his gameplay to be significantly more brutal, some of his takedowns should border on murdering criminals even 4) Mother is taken down by a new hero with a giant blue V across his chest as per new reports, enraging Batman who wanted to do this himself 5) Batman tries to hunt down this new hero, but is one step behind. This new hero is constantly mocking Batman at every corner and broadcasting his fights with criminals even to further mock Batman, everything is shadowed enough to make it hard to see him clearly as he is moving to quickly for camera's to follow 6) Prometheus catches Batman's attention again, capturing Batgirl after she takes down Ivy, luring Batman into a 2 on 1 battle vs Prometheus and Bane. Batman emerges the winner, breaking Bane's back and ripping out his Venom tubes. Before he can kill Prometheus, Nightwing emerges stopping Batman. 7) Nightwing flashback section plays now, in Metropolis. Reveal Superman even went as far as making Nightwing's suit for him and helped Dick make the gadgets he would need, using his speed to "borrow" them from Bruce and Lucious so he can make versions of his own in the Fortress of Solitude (show off Superman's memorization skills and engineering skills here a lesser known ability he has) We learn how Nightwing fights and plays 8) Reveal Nightwing know's that Bruce isn't in control and calls out Zur-En-Aur by name. Batman laughs congratulating Dick on the discovery, shocking Alfred and Lucious who didn't know about this. Dick reveals that this was Mother's plan, unleashing Zur-En-Aur Batman on Gotham to cleanse Gotham of criminals. Zur-En-Aur reveals his origin and how he came to be a backup personality if Bruce ever found himself in danger and on the verge of death or broken, a personality that would emerge to allow Batman to continue to exist without Bruce Wayne present. Final Boss time - Zur-En-Aur Batman vs Nighting with Nightwing emerging the winner, breaking down Zur-En-Aur's suit and injecting Batman with a drug of Krypton origin that Superman's robots developed to put Zur-En-Aur back in dormancy in Batman. 9) Bruce, now back in control, leaves and let's Nightwing take the spotlight and lets him turn over Prometheus. Weeks later Dick leaves for College and Batgirl is left as Gotham's protector, Bruce and Alfred Re-unite and leave Gotham 10) Epilogue plays, 1 year having past. Nightwing and Batgirl are protecting Gotham as Batman returns having re-discovered himself, now wearing a suit similar to his Arkham Asylum/City look and with a new Robin, Jason Todd.

What university is Dick attending according to your story? And would this set up a possible Teen Titans story down the road (not implying you’ll make that project)?

Seems like there might be room for a Arkham Origins 4 and maybe 5 with the rise and downfall of Jason Todd. Being a major impact with Batman having to go through losing someone, hence there could be a 6 with Tim Drake first coming around maybe.

Prometheus was definitely a tall task for Rocksteady since the scope of the game would not really allow for him. He’s literally just Evil Batman but more dangerous than the JL on a bad day, which is why (much like Deathstroke in Brad Meltzer’s Identity Crisis) you only reserve him for team books. He’s supposed to be an Event character like Superboy-Prime or “ThE bAtMaN wHo LaUgHs”, so I always felt them teasing him was because their end goal WAS to use him as the JL’s very own Joker. Unfortunately…I was right about them working towards the JL. Just not how I hoped…
