im cheering for oilers but i dont agree... especially for west coasters. You wont catch montreal fans cheering for toronto in the finals, and likewise most die hard vancouver and calgary fans arent cheering for oilers. im in vancouver and I know a lot of canucks fans that will never cheer for an alberta team.

gretzky always says everyone was better than he was. its called being humble. mario has like 13 records and theyre almost all powerplay or empty net records. Gretzky has 8 of the top 10 regular seasons. in his prime he averaged nearly 2.5 points per game. if you compare mario and wayne at 745 or 915 games played each. Wayne blows mario out of the water. Mario wasnt even remotely close to the 5v5 player Wayne was. mario led the league in 5v5 points 2 out of 17 seasons. while Wayne led the league in even strength points 11 times out of 20. wayne won more and put up better numbers across the board. 8 consecutive MVPS beats the guy who never even won mvp in 2 back to back seasons in his career.

In virtually all the comments about placing McDavid's achievements against history, Mario is named and noted. All three were amazingly talented players and awesome gentlemen.

It was actually more down to skill level than equipment. Hockey players have gotten much better on average compared to back then. They're faster skaters, move the puck quicker, shoot quicker and harder, etc.

That was the rookie season of Crosby and when he return Lemieux are not really in shape oups but surprise he dominate the game. he have 40 years old and he makes 76 points in 43 games. after this year 2000-01 he retired for the third ans last time. Gretzky and Lemieux are the 2 Goats , Lemieux are more skill than Gretzky but Gretzky are not the most spectacular but always be place good place in good times. McDavid are like Lemieux a litle bit, but Lemieux are bigger and have similar hands than McDavid. Lemieux at is prime with no injuries are superior than MCdavid but i have alots of respect for McDavid but he have to prove for the next 20 years or 15 years if he can continue dominating the game like Gretzky ,Lemieux,orr ,Howe or Rocket Richard makes
