If the poll numbers are to be believed, Donald Trump’s march to the GOP nomination will be hard to stop. And that has lots of political observers pondering who he would choose as a running mate. CNN contributor Alyssa Farah Griffin worked in Trump’s White House and she shares first-hand knowledge of the characters vying for vice presidency.

Interesting prediction, and I wouldn't be surprised. I just LOVE how the discussion focused on two things, BOTH of which were TRANSPARENTLY intended to besmirch her. First, they talk about how she has "actively been seeking the position," tacitly implying that she's a self-serving ambitious political operator. Second, they attempt to couch an ATTACK on her by pretending to give her CREDIT for having been a "moderate" while in Congress (probably so they could take the opportunity to reinforce their pathetic shibboleths against the GOP Freedom Caucus), but then immediately suggest that she's somehow "reinvented herself" as a "culture warrior" (again, with a tone that is DRIPPING with condescending arrogance and self-righteousness). What they fail to even CONSIDER is the idea that she hasn't changed her ideological values at ALL, but instead is merely addressing the SEISMIC shifts in the nature of the political culture in America that have occurred over the past 8 years. Instead of looking inward to reflect on how they lost in 2016, the DNC launched a campaign of overt collusion with its allies and vassals in the establishment, Silicon Valley, legacy media, and federal bureaucracy, a campaign of RETALIATION against those who they blame for daring to obstruct their efforts to consolidate power, namely Trump, those who voted for him, certain members of the GOP, and of course.... Russia.

I feel tRump will go with loyalty and someone who is aggressive. My thinking right now is he'll choose Rep. Elise Stefanik or Gov. Kristi Noem! He'll definitely attempt to con Suburban White Women into voting for him. Both Noem & Stefanik have advantages and disadvantages.

One thing Kamala upset the world with was when she visited Poland, after the Ukraine invasion kicked off, and laughed off a question about Poland taking in more refugees. "A friend in need is a friend indeed." Great quote. Loyalty and realness - I'm all for it. But something to consider is how American humor reflects to international cultures and the translation in other languages. It could certainly fuel the "rude American" stigma.
