Same! I had that feeling as soon as I started looking into him. He just needs a more stable squad and I think he will be amazing. Sporting tends to sell most of their players once they are doing well. Many of the recent players that have been sold he developed.

Interesting vid as ever guys. I guess the stats don't lie but I just can't get behind De Zerbi or Nagelsmann at all. For me Amorim is the best option if you take the sentiment out of it, which isn't to be ignored, but is equally unqauntifiable. Alonso is great & I'd be more than happy if he was the next manager, but Amorim's got everything Alonso does & more as a manager if you take the LFC comnection out of it. He's also got a better CV regardless of if Alonso wins the German league or not this season. Amorim's career also has a very similar feel to Klopp at Dortmund & it just seems like a great fit to me.

Glad to finally see someone else saying it. He was #2 behind Xabi for me. People who don't watch Italian football will probably not understand, but what Thiago Motta has done with Bologna is absolutely outstanding. Giving young players a chance, working on a small budget, playing exciting attacking football with a positive mindset. He ticks a lot of the boxes

Alonso was all of our 1st choice because of the nostalgia that appointment gave, our old friend coming home. But similarly, to Jurgen, you see the human side. Jurgen doesn’t feel he has enough to carry on anymore, whereas Xabi clearly doesn’t feel he has enough to step into that role just yet & for him it makes more sense to gain more experience in Germany & in Europe next year. So leaves us realistically, with Amorim & De Zerbi. De Zerbi is a bit of a hot head as we’ve seen, but Jurgen has just as many outbursts when in the heat of the moment. I don’t think he can be totally discounted due to this season at Brighton. They exerted a lot last year & now have europe to contest too. Their defence has been poor to say the least, but injuries & key players being sold are to blame for that. Look at Jurgens’ 9 years in charge, even when we were on an upwards trajectory we had 2 awful seasons that we’d all want to forget where we were burnt out completely & could not get the energy back into the team. I think they’re 2 solid choices left to consider that are arguably ready for the step up. Don’t know enough about Amorim tbh, however it seems like only positives that come out about him. Let’s hope history repeats itself as the last great Portuguese manager to come from there turned the game on it’s head🤞🏻

Going onto possible formation & selection changes next season could the 4-3-3 become more of a 4-3-2-1 next season? With Jones being the LAM which for me would be his best position, Bradley as the new 1st choice RB playing more as a wing back supplying the width wide right allowing Trent to play probably his ideal/preferred RCM role? Jones has shown he has a capable goals & assists output so playing him in a attacking midfield role behind the striker with the freedom to roam wide or come in the middle, drop deep, get ahead of the striker would really make him flourish imo. Having a midfield 3 of MacAllister, Endo & Trent would be elite level, with options at RAM being Salah who can also play as the striker, Szoboszlai & Elliott. Add Carvalho as a possible option as 1 of the 2 no 10's/AM's. Morton being an cover option at DM after a impressive season at Hull City along with Bajcetic too.

Great show fellas, enjoyed that. I’m hoping for Amorim. If I’m not mistaken, Sporting create lots of chances, score lots of goals, and have a tight defense. Defense wins titles! Would love to maybe see Lijnders back down the line. Nagelsman is so young, maybe just needs a bit more time to settle on a philosophy. Thiago great shout as future successful manager - seems a bit alpha, got a brilliant football brain, actually thinks about football and seems to want to manage from the interviews I’ve read with him.

Title: Why Sergio Conceicao Should Be Liverpool's Next Manager As Liverpool FC continues its search for a successor to Jurgen Klopp, one name that deserves serious consideration is Sergio Conceicao, the current manager of Porto. While Klopp's departure leaves big shoes to fill, Conceicao possesses the qualities and experience necessary to lead Liverpool to continued success. Firstly, Conceicao brings a winning mentality to the table. During his tenure at Porto, he has guided the team to multiple domestic titles, including the Primeira Liga and Taca de Portugal. His ability to instill a culture of excellence and resilience within his squad is evident in Porto's consistent performances on the domestic front. Moreover, Conceicao's tactical acumen is well-suited to the high-intensity, pressing style of play that Liverpool is known for. His teams are organized defensively, yet dynamic and incisive in attack, traits that align perfectly with the Reds' footballing philosophy. With Klopp leaving behind a legacy of gegenpressing football, Conceicao's approach would ensure continuity in Liverpool's gameplay. Furthermore, Conceicao has experience competing at the highest level of European football. Under his guidance, Porto has consistently featured in the UEFA Champions League, facing off against some of the continent's most formidable opponents. His familiarity with the demands and pressures of elite European competition would be invaluable for Liverpool as they seek to maintain their status as contenders on the continental stage. Importantly, Conceicao's leadership style is characterized by passion, intensity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. He commands the respect of his players and is renowned for his ability to extract the best performances from them, even in challenging circumstances. This ability to inspire and motivate would be crucial in ensuring that Liverpool's squad continues to perform at its peak. Plus his contract is up in the summer no compensation fees.

Has to have won something. Look at the history of our managers 1990s onwards... The only ones that have worked out are Klopp and Rafa (maybe Houllier to a certain extent) and they won their leagues or had trophies to their name. To succeed at Liverpool you need to have won something before. That would be my criteria. I'd go for Xabi, Nagelsmann, Amorim in that order.

I´d argue Alonso wouldn´t be the right manager at this time anyway. His first true challenge as manager in Leverkusen is only now, and honestly, Leverkusen seem to be going to win the first Bundesliga -title EVER, Champion´s League await, he is just started building that project, his team, his players. One day he´ll be ready, if he goes on like this, and he might be ready for Liverpool. Many many analysts and others have pointed out, that Alonso´s current style isn´t fit with current Liverpool. It is not to say Liverpool wouldn´t change now or ever, but current players are best adapted to "Klopp-style". There seems to be some concensus that Sporting Lisbon´s Ruben Amorim could be the best fitting manager for Liverpool´s current squad and style among the most youtubers, analysts, pundits and whatnot. Could be... He has done great work at Sporting Lisbon, Benfica and Porto can´t keep their pace in the league. Interesting to see if Alonso can keep his best players after this season. I´d look into the possibility to sign Florian Wirtz for Liverpool, if he´d be interested. Of course, he might want to stay one more season there, enjoying the success he´s been building there, IF the first Bundesliga -title even cometh true. But, no panic about Alonso for me anyway, I thought it unlikely in this moment, for what my opinion is worth.

You both talked about losing one player and went to the forward line left side. When Diaz joined in Jan 2022, he made the big difference to that season and was injured the same time as Jota in 2022/2023 season. My view is we lose Gapko, and get a faster younger Left back if Robo is leaving, so we need speed to support that left side. Both Nunez and Jota can play right side if we lose Salah plus Harvey Elliott. Alonso does not suit are style an gengapressing game. Gomez is to slow to exploit space down the left side. I would go for Rubén Amorín. Nothing against Gapko, but he lacks vision and does not pass when our players are in better positions to score than he is

That was a lot of waffling there mate. I agree I don’t rate Gakpo that much but don’t overhype Diaz. He may be faster and have more energy but he’s not better than Gakpo. Also just bc a player can play a position doesn’t mean you move them there. Moving a right footed player like Nunez to RW has to be one of the worse opinions I’ve read. Makes zero sense. Also this idea that bc Xabi doesn’t play 100% like LFC does right now he isn’t a good fit. The fact of the matter is brining in a new manager with a new philosophy , new play style etc is a GOOD thing. Not a bad thing. And the 95% of current squad can easily adapt to Xabi, Amorim, Nagelsmann etc.

If we can't get Alonso, I don't know why Gary O'Neill isn't getting more of a mention. Doing a class job with Wolves and performed miracles with Bournemouth last season. Not just that but he has his team play possession based football and has an attacking style of play. They've got the double over both Chelsea and Spurs this season, beat City, and should have beat Utd at Old Trafford if it wasn't for VAR. Quarter final of the FA Cup and could have been in the semis if they had turned up against Coventry. Aside from all that, he's got the right sort of personality, professional but not afraid to speak up. I feel he'll be managing one of the top six in the near future, most likely Chelsea, Spurs or United, and I'd put money on him doing a good job at any of those clubs. Liverpool should be considering him ahead of someone like De Zerbi with his erratic nature.

Mate. We cant get de zerbi or amorim these guys cant replace klopp. We need a proper manager thats been around the block... in all hinesty id probably prefer jose to those 2. But i think we should give nagelsman a closer look or even xavi. Xavi may be leaving barca but hes still got a brilliaint brain. And as as catolian managing barca is alot of pressure so he'll have less pressure at liverpool plus a way better team... so unpopular opinion xavi or nagelsman. De zerbi isnt the man to come in and win us trophies mate. We need real qaulity to replace klopp and compete with pep and arteta

Seems a shame promoting from within seems to have been written off these days. Bob took over from Bill - to me, Pep taking over from Jurgen has possible parallels. Rather than ripping everything up and starting again.

I just hope our toxic fanbase doesn’t shit on Xabi if we doesn’t come to LfC bc I can see that happening like some fans do anytime we are linked to a player or a player leaves. I think there’s 3 managers other than Xabi who can come in and be successful. We need to get rid of this idea of “the manager has to match the current players and formation”…NO. A new manager needs to come in a develop their own system and we have players who can adapt. Simple as that. 1) Amorim. He is class. The disrespect is crazy. 2) Thomas Frank. I think he can be successful at a club like LFC especially since it’s similar style to how Brentford runs. But now better players, more money, he can shine. 3) Nagelsmann. I like him but he has some to prove. I don’t like De Zerbi, I don’t like any old manager that gets passed around.

Thomas Frank shouldn’t be anywhere near this club How on earth is a manager fighting relegation with Brentford of the calibre to manage Liverpool? They also play poxy football, counter attacks and set plays. Not good enough
@PLC11
@PLC11 Ай бұрын
@@CarlG-xu6qe are you really trying to say Frank isn’t a good manager bc his team is near the bottom but ignore the fact he got them promoted for the first time in 90 years, and he has an extremely limited budget where every year he has to sell one of his starters and his best attacking player was suspended for 8 months… why not actually know what you’re talking about and look at the type of person he is, his philosophy, his tactics, his set ups and try to understand that he is actually a pretty solid manager. Who would fit the LFC culture…. Let me guess your ideal next manager should play exactly the same way as Klopp? That is laughable.

I don’t see what evidence there is that de zerbi is any better than Brendan Rodgers when he was appointed Liverpool manager. Rodgers could play great attacking football, but didn’t know how to set a team up to defend, and de zerbis defensive record his entire time at Brighton has been shit. Potter couldn’t play as good attacking football, but Brighton were much better defensively under him. Until proven otherwise De Zerbi is just another Rodgers, not of the top echelon of managers.

I would want us to go for someone with experience in managing a top club. Nagelsmann would be a valuable addition considering his team plays a very offensive/Possession style of football along with good game management. This team is currently used to playing a high-intensity press kind of system, so a coach with a similar philosophy would help the players and the club continue with the gegenpress style that Klopp has implemented so successfully. Suppose the emphasis is on having a robust and hard-to-break defensive system. In that case, I don't see anyone better than Simeone who has proven to be an astute tactician when it comes to setting up teams to play defensively and on the counter. My picks are Nagelsmann, Simeone, Mourinho (Unbeateble track record when it comes to managing top clubs, serial winner )

Players szbobozali just being used as a cart horse running around pulling hamstrings,we need a manager that is going to change training methods so we are not getting injuries all the time and play better football we have the players to do that .if Liverpool have no space to play in we just pass it around the centre backs slowly then Virgil will hit a long diagonal to Salah ,
