I love how General ling has so much respect and love for the Emperor that he allows him to push him around like one of his own kids. I mean ling buyi is The God of War!!!! Everyone is scared of him except the Emperor. This scene is funny and heartwarming!!!

Oh, how I love this Emperor! The best Emperor I have seen on the C-drama, who is so kind, loving, funny, just, cute.... He loves Zisheng so much & also, so proud of him, too. From what I see, none of his sons can match Zisheng's achievements so far.

The emperor dragging a grown man and putting him in time out where is LBY's hat by the way?? 🤣🤣🤣 Am surprised that SS is supportive of LBY going out to battle I mean they suppose to be getting married, what if something happened then she would be holding a funeral instead of a wedding. The emperor is trying his hardest to prevent this from happening but its mostly wasted on the young. The small doses of comedy injected in this drama is such a relief with the character of the Emperor being compassionate, funny yet trying to be stoic / strict all at the same time.

I love this show. It's hilarious, romantic, dramatic, exciting, sad, and has the best royal trio in the history of drama. The Emperor and his 2 wives are a refreshing dynamic. Especially the Emperor 😂
