Rewatching this after the revelation of LBY's friendship with Third Prince and the plot to make him Crown Prince 🤭 Finally noticing that 3rd Prince mentioned their gifts being too ordinary to goad Crown Princess into saying how expensive their gift is. LBY, if you only spoke to ShaoShao about your concerns about the Crown couple's ineptness, you could have used her sense of righteousness to keep her from defending their incompetence........

Actually as u watch the drama u understand his expression when Shaoshang helps the crown prince and princess here. It is not a good one. LBY and the third prince both

The setting and atmosphere was magnificent in this scene of the Empress birthday. However I get a feeling that this is too good to last as normal plots with the imperial palace and family does not run so smoothly.

You're right, but also not. The main players in this imperial family are all good people, but not everyone is best suited for the position they hold. It's one of the reasons this drama is so interesting! They take the usual plotlines, and spin them on their heads.

Good evening from Greece! What a beautiful couple!!! They match perfectly! Their "Chemistry" in the Series "Love like the Galaxy" left an "Epoch"!!! Excellent actors both!!! May God grant them Health and Luck throughout their Life!!! This couple reminds me of Heo Bin and Seo Hye Jin!!! This is how their "romance" started, which ended in marriage!!! I wish the same outcome for this TV couple!!! They really deserve it, like everything Good!!! I wish Wu Lei and Zhao Lu Xi the best of luck in their professional careers! May they both walk Together, in Peace, in a fairytale Life laid with Rose Petals!

One of the best parts for me is seeing the looks of disdain and (drat! Darn it!) on the faces of jealous 'Noble Ladies' and Court officials who look down on SS.

I think he's playing Liu Shui (Flowing water, very famous piece) on the guqin? Though when you play, you should not sit in the middle, but to the left (facing the audience)
