Omg rum raisin is iconic to me! As a brown girl it was the first, (and maybe only???) lipstick that looks like a pinky nude on me. I love it so much!

It looks different on different skintones, but in my opinion, it is flattering on pretty much everyone. On me, it's less pinky and almost like a cinnamon color.

I love how she does not bash on these makeup brands for not looking the same on different skin tones, Instead she educates us about color theory in a very simple way and even looks for a alternative colors to the makeup! I think that’s a great way to do makeup reviews on lighter skin tones and darker. It’s not about the makeup it’s just color theory!

I love rum raisin, it is such a chameleon shade on me, depending on what lip liner i use with it. I'm a slightly lighter brown girl, around nc42, and just by changing up the lipliner i can make it look like a pinky nude or a richer mauve/reddish brown.

Even as a brown girl, your undertone is going to matter - so certain shades might look better on certain brown girls vs others. I can never pull of any kind of brown lipstick shade, but it looks so stunning on some brown girls.

I personally think the shade of your lip makes the difference, rather than the skin tone. When my lips are pigmented lipsticks look paler and ashier than when they are lighter and more pink.

I think both is important. I'm brown but my lips look pale compared to my skin. They don't look pinkish but also no red. They're more of a lighter brown than my skin. It's hard to find a lipstick that look good on me, because most lipstick look too fake, clownish, bright on me.

It's both. It matters what color your lips are because that color with show through some. But I matter what color your skin is because being next to a darker shade will make it look lighter and brighter.

I'm very pale and there is a Clinique lipstick that used to be so popular back in the day. It was a "nude" color, but it looked like "party pink" on me, lol. Color theory and undertones are everything.

Ok but RUM raisin looks AMAZING on brown skin and not even as good as white skin. Look at Megan thee Stallion freaking gorgeous on her. She’s the whole reason I wanna buy it except I’m white lolz. It adds a whole other brown hue underneath that’s so sultry! Maybe you don’t like it particularly but not all brown is the same shade. Don’t put them all the in the same bucket.

(Thanks for not using a filter to this content creator❤) Just so everyone knows: the white chick was using a filter. But not just her- a lot of influencers are PAID by companies to make something “go viral” and most of the time the filters ULTER their appearances. Not saying revlon did that btw. But also, it depends on your undertone. Im an olive skinned white chick who is pale in the winter and super dark in the summer. Shades change accordingly. Lol BUT with that being said- this content girl doesnt seem to be using a filter and the COLOR LOOKS BOMB ON HER!!! ❤❤❤❤. It rly does.

Honestly I just got the lipstick like 2 min ago and I have a medium dark complexion with a dark upper lip. Rum Raisin looks so good with the berry liner you have no idea. I went to show my roommate now she wants the rum raisin. Note* Medium dark girlies should avoid taste of Newyork. Don't go near that shade.
