That one chaos giant at 20:02 that seems to just be absolutely broken from the fact 18 oversized lizards successfully held back and DESTROYED 3 well trained (not really) armies of melee units designed to be good at melee. And the oversized lizards were ranged units. A full 3 and 1/2 minutes of slow, giant brain processing how the fluff they got destroyed by an army nearly 1/100th the size of their own. and then the giants thinks "they had reinforcements that never got used"

Legend, if you hold alt while placing a ground spell like Lifeblood it will stop trying to place it under a unit. This is really handy for catching more units and prevents what happened at 13:32

I've started using the Stegadon Doomstack, but I learned a lot in this video. One that I've learned the hard way is using Lightning Strike to divide and conquer, but having the stegadon bunch up to stun lock was an inspiration! I always line them up so they can fire, but then they're on an island in melee.

I just did that yesterday against 2 massive skaven armies with my freshly made doomstack of stegadons. Was out of ammo by the second army but man it was satisfying to see them charge in. Thanks Legend for your video on doomstacks, i'm really having fun with them ( tried the ogre dragon shaggoth too )

This glitch you have, I had it in a battle yesterday, I was fighting on this map vs a point of interest and suddenly units stopped running away, some fought to the death, some stood still waiting, now I presumed Radios mod 1 and 2 mite have a glitch and ignored it, only happened once in 90 turns.

i had this bug before, it occurs when you inflict army lost penalty on an army BEFORE all their reinforcments shown up, and they have some unbreakable units, and if you kill all the unbreakable units you can end the battle, even if some of their units are still fighting, it is really really weird, but i don't know if CA will ever patch this. basically, all the army on the field flee exept from the unbreakable ones, and reinforcements that show up are broken, but fight untill death instead of insta flee...

I've only been playing for a couple weeks now and have only played as chaos warriors. I never understood how bad the AI was at making army compositions until I watched this.

I had a similar bug yesterday, not only were shattered units fighting but they were maneuvering and gunning down my troops. Fortunately there weren't any unbreakable units left so I could just end the battle but it was super weird.

Aw, it's nice when the cheese-pope helps out one of his deciples. But speaking of gods, I really enjoy having a handful of engine of the gods sometimes. While Stega-spam is definately more sustainable, nothing screams joy than to walk up to an enemy wall and laser half their army to death in one volley... But it is not easy to pull off or simple to use, and with only 2 shots each, you gotta make them count.

Wondering with the first battle would the protection spells been a better choice, effecting more of your units for a longer time. Mitigation of more damage then the limited healing. Good video.

I think there's a bug when the army losses triggers while reinforcements are still coming in especially unbreakable ones like the hell cannon. I ran into something like this once before and units kept fighting after breaking

Big question. What do I put in Lord Kroaks army to heal stuff? 2 Bastilladons, or do I get a slann hero that can heal? The one Slann-Hero you get doesn't heal afaik.

If you see this, Legend, then you should try my favourite cheese stack. It's definitely not the most powerful, but it's a hell of a lot of fun! lt consists of Kroq-Gar on Grimloq with an army full of Scar Veterans, Chiefs and Priests on their monstrous mount choices (if healing is an issue then i'll put in 1 or 2 of the Revivication Crystal Bastiladons in the army). It takes a long time to get up to that point, but it's so worth it when you get Kroq-Gar and his hero posse kicking arse and taking names.

When I have a sisters stack or large units only I like to put them in the water so infantry gets -80% melee attack. Is that worth doing ever? I noticed Legend didn’t so it might not do much but I would think -80% melee attack would be significant for small units.

Might be a silly question but; which type (lore) of skink priest would you go for to improve this doomstack? Why?

Ah yes, the hard counter to the end of the world. Stegadon herds and an angry white lizard. But seriously notice how the temple guard still had a good number of remaining units that didint get wiped out even after going against such odds and being injured before the battle. these lizardmen dude.

If you hold alt you can cast aoe spells on the ground. You probably knew that but it helps cast healing spells in the centre of a blob of units.

Hi, could someone explain how "control large armies" option works? When do reinforcement join, if you haven't ticked that box? Is it when one of the armies is defeated?

So what is a perfect stegadon army, and why we should add veteran to it? I get we should bunch them together so that take less damage form infantry but what do we do if enemy is mostly archers, like dark elves? Should veteran be on foot or ridding?

Maybe the Stegadon bugged out because he got broken, the he got his leadership back to unbreak him, but it didnt properly process because the Stegadon was rampaging?

Thing about the Stegadon is when it runs out of ammo it becomes a melee destroying monster. Personally I avoid doom stacks because I like a diverse field but I play casually only for rp and immersion. The Puppets of Chaos are a joke at first spawn, I took out all three in my campaign with a Skink Lord and a stack of Chameleons with auto resolve. I would suggest trying the ancient steg stack because it is a lot better than you would think. One ancient steg will take out 2-3 melee groups themselves. If you have a stack of them nothing short of Warmammoths maybe or perhaps Dragonogres will compete, which makes it not fun but you will win a lot. :p

Personally i think Ancient Stegadons are better at attacking, while the normal ones are better at both supporting other units and defending. Because that is what artillery IS for, and they carry arty on their back. Engine of Gods is nice but suffers from extremely limited ammo. Stegadon gangbang LOL

That banner woulda been much more useful on the other army. 4 leadership on a stegadon isnt going to make or 'break' that doomstack Banners seem to be like vows are to me, hard to remember each time

Legend almost never uses banners but what do you people think are the best banners. I think some of the best are the Banner of Eternal Flame, Griffon Banner and Razor standard for elite infantry.
