Morgan James is so much more than a singer with a "powerful voice", and her songs aren't mere "covers". This is a Postmodern-Jukebox-like re-interpretation, this is Blues-redone all over: Her amazing vocal control and raw power are tamed by smooth, sexy, powerful improvisations that are concluded softly, with a happy, almost mischievous smile, giving off a deceptive air of casualness. This is a postmodern celebration of Blues, a younger and irreverent Blues, without the pathos but with all the musical richness. After years of suffering from musical ear-infections, I discovered Mogan James. Her music is powerful medicine on which I am happy to self-medicate and overdose! Bring it on!

I was a roadie for 10 years and I've only Heard a Voice like this a few times female and male. I am amazed at your background musicians and stand in awe before all of YOU. Listened to this clip, oh', maybe four, five times now over last two years. Some things in life ease Your Soul. Though lyrics are deep, (for some maybe') Morgan James carves through that Pain barrier, of which it feels to Love Someone.....
