Same here I started a yt channel for my daughter learned hot to edit premier pro and made 9 videos they were pretty cool. And then pandemic started my daughter didn’t want to do it anymore and deep down I really did it because I wanted to start a channel for myself im actually a new realtor so I have the tools to start and know what to do but it’s like walking a plank in between sharks for me wtf is wrong with me and why won’t I just start. I think it’s I think about what would people say . Maybe I’ll just turn off comments 🙄

I want to make content on finances bc with in the last year I became obsessed with investing/ planning for retirement. My parents didn’t save for retirement, they were both drug addicts.. in 2015 I became addicted to heroin, & I got clean in 2018. I currently living in a sober house(I’ve been here for two year) & looking for housing bc I have to move. Most people go through life not even thinking about finances or planning for retirement, I was one of those people.. so that is why I want to make videos about just that. Love you Gary

4:08-4:16 rings so true for me. When asked for advice people always say just be you because you are unique but then turn around and say, do it like this, have more energy, you are too mono tone, fake it till you make it...all that BS. Fortunately I stuck to my guns and although I'm not exploding, I'm growing at a rate that works for me in my current situation. Too many creators "faking it until they make it" worse advice ever!

This video was helpful, I’m fearful of KZfaq, but I’ve been slowly growing on tiktok. I doubt if it’ll pay off from time to time, but this makes sense. It’s still in it’s early stages, I promote my art and my shop and I think I need to go about it differently. I shouldn’t give up on it, it just feels like it’s not enough and I think it’s because we’ve been conditioned to want instant gratification. I definitely feel like my efforts are wasted on IG though, which sucks as I have a lot of connections in there. But it’s so weird my reels will either flop or blow up and my still finished artworks aren’t shown to my audience.

I 100% agree on everything he said except for the "research" part. I feel it's important to do research just to make sure there aren't new findings. Sometimes people take as fact what is just opinion and research helps eliminate that problem.

I spent so much time studying to be in professional film production and make expensive music videos but always had a niche for taking regular random pieces of film and editing them into my personality... I figured being able to edit means make hollywood movies and music videos but I just always loved making lil short vids. I hope someone out there can have the exact same experience ❗❗💯

Hahaha, this is great man. What you are saying is always the cause of huge debate. We are always told to play the part to get to where we want to go. To me that is just stupid yet its ingrained deep in my brain. If you see our youtube videos, I speak like some sort of mechanical robot and you'll never see me smoke (I do smoke BTW). Some of the most successful people are the natural ones. Take Anthony Bourdain as an example. You're a legend man, allthough yeah, you do say a lot of the same things 😀😀

Everything is difficult before it becomes easy, do something everyday that you don’t like doing, it’ll help you grow and become mentally stronger. Most importantly do it when you least want to, that way the next time it will be easier
