iFlight Nazgul Evoque F6D - Bind & Fly

2 жыл бұрынIn this video, I unbox and bind the iFlight Nazgul Evoque F6D FPV Quad.
I have had such a blast flying, and am still so impressed with the iFlight Nazgul Evoque F5D (The Ripper) that I decided to purchase another bind & fly quad from iFlight.
I purchased the Nazgul Evoque F6D. This six inch quad will be my medium to long range cinema flyer.

I set up and then bind the quad to the TBS crossfire receiver and then the Caddx Vista Kit\ Air Unit Lite camera. I then set up the modes in Betaflight. All that is left is to fly it!

I own one to, 6s HD and it's my favorite 'big' quad, it's like flying on a sky. everything works every time,,,love that.

Instant SUB... just unboxed and ready to set up my F6D, ordered direct from iFlight! (mine is DJI 03 / elrs2.4 / 6S) ... this is my first 'non-tinywhoop', 'non-cinewhoop' style quad (my first 'freestyler' if anything - before snowfall, I intend to grab the F5D as well!) ... Good to be here great insights, nicely done (I intend to start multiple youtube channels in the coming weeks, once the summer work seasons comes to a halt) - got three more $$$$ jobs then, my quads and I just all MIGHT 'fly south' for the winter! Oh and .... Careful with those 6S's, oh they pack a PUNCH!

Hey Big Water UAV, Thank you for the video, I am receiving my Nazgul Evoque F5D V2 soon, I am really stressed concerning the set up on betaflight with my DJI RC 2 and all, and this video has helped me understand a little bit better. Can't wait to receive mine soon, hope everything will be alright.

Since it is a Bind and Fly the only thing you should need to do in Betaflight will be to set your modes. I would imagine that the DJI Remote is even simpler. Let me know how it goes.

Hey there! I just got the same drone! Super excited about it. When I plug a battery in though the crossfire xr and LED's don't power on. When I plug USB in the crossfire turns on. I took off the top plate, plugged in the battery - then Crossfire and the LED's came on! They never did before taking off the top plate. I can't get them to turn on now again with only the battery plugged in. Is this a hardware issue or potentially something I can fix in betaflight? Nazgul F6D bnf o3 air unit..

Sound like you might have a hardware or a wiring issue. Check all connections. Does your flight controller power up?

I always do a cli dump with a new bnf

Great tips, you helped me a lot. When the aux 3(acro, angle, trainer) is in the midle where you have not set anything, is it completly acro mode?

Yes that is correct. Acro is when no other mode is selected.

I own the 5D too and love it, so I’m in the fence about the F6D for longer flights. Will love to see the range , I’m kinda puzzled about the antenna in the back I have seen some F6 in some online pics and videos with a longer antenna…

The antenna is stock I have since upgraded it with a Lumenier AXII 2 5.8 GHz Long Range SMA Antenna..... yet to test though... I'll be doing a separate video after I can fly her. Cheers!

hey buddy, i was trying to set up the GPS on mine and in the process i have lost my OSD, can you help me out?

I can try... not sure how setting GPS would knock out the OSD. Hopefully you did a backup of your Betaflight setting that you can revert to. Is it a channel setting? UART?

@@BigWaterUAV no I did not do a back up of my beta flight! I did not know I could do that. I’m thinking it’s Chanel or UART? How do I check? What are the factory UART settings for this drone?

Great vids be interested to know what you prefer cidora or Evoke? I have Nazgul 2 hd 4s was look at getting the Evoque on 6s.

I love the Evoque F5D. It is tuned so well and flys so smooth. The Cidora, Im just learning to fly it... has a different feel. It's a true X as well so maybe that's the difference. I'm using my same rates on both. The 6S Evoque F6D I have yet to fly due to weather.

The 6 inch is better in my opinion… The Iflight BOB57 is very good as well! It is a 6 inch.

excellent video friend, new follower, I have an evoque F6d and a dji rc2 fpv, I can't receive the commands in betaflight, any suggestions? I've already done all the updates

Have you tried a different cable? I believe it must be a usb data cable. I always use the cable that comes with the DJI goggles.

Haven't had the chance to take the F6 to the sky yet... still waiting for the weather to clear...I do see a different use case for both. Really dig your videos Greg! Thanks for watching!
