Very helpful. Hardest part of lights install was removing the small bin. On the hitch side, you need to clean the threads as much as possible, clean them with the correct tap if you can. Oil it and turn it in slowly. Lots of grime in there if a used vehicle. Brake cleaner, penetrating oil, whatever it takes to clean them out. Paint on the included bolts adds difficulty as well. Solvent the paint off the bolts and they go in far easier. Great video, new just what to do.

That 3,000lbs rating on the Honda hitch is a little misleading. They use that rating because without the transmission cooler that’s the maximum weight Honda warranties. Their hitch is capable of the full 5,000lbs. It’s kind of a liability thing I suppose.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on this, I didn't know! Im honestly pretty happy with the aftermarket hitch, especially the ease of installation, but its good to know that if someone wanted OEM it would still be built to handle 5000. A few weeks ago I towed a Honda Fit 180 miles on a haul trailer and the passport handled it like a champ

I've also heard from my mechanic that transmissions can be the weak link. Keep the fluid cool, and be generous on fluid change intervals if you do a lot of towing. Especially in high temp, high load situat.

Does the 2021 Passport have a OEM tow package?

yes, but mine did not come with it. From what i read online people are paying 800+ for the oem hitch installed. The aftermarket was really easy to install and uses the factory mounting locations. Either way i think you get a high quality product, ive towed over 5000 pounds without issues with my setup. Hope this helps.
