I just found out I have Igbo blood and it makes so much sense I wet to a Afro Caribbean party where the DJ blended t the sound of drums and other instruments and I did these moves without ever seeing this or learning it came from my soul I’m so grateful the ancestors were with me and for so long I wanted to move to Georgia and I’m seeing who to connect with when I finally get there this is dope❤ ❤

Many indigenous cultures around the world have nearly died out or been completely destroyed in human history. But unlike all others, we have thrived.
@akendon72604 ай бұрын
I suspect Igbos are ancient people who had direct connection with God at some point. Igbos do not understand the gold they have in their flute music. If you have your own country and welcome world leaders like this, it will be all over the global news and people will be asking who are these people. There is something special and spiritual about the flute music, sort of a connection to God. It's like the Igbo ancestors used it to invoke their Gods and ancestors. Once the the Gods and ancestors hear the flute, they come around and stay among you but you don't see them!

Again, this is awesome 😂 These girls deserve a million dollars, or some kind of college/university scholarships wherever they are. And they are all beautiful, too ❤️ They dance with such confidence and vigor and grace. Today, I am a university graduate here in the UNITED STATES, but I used to be part of a Dance Group growing up in NIGERIA, that was heavily ATILOGWU, but was taught/coached by the MKPOKITI UMUNZE group in those days. The girls were sharper than the guys, to be honest, but the guys did well, for the most part.

THIS IS INDEED HONORABLE AND MEMORABLE.

Great dance, but not sure it would be considered Atilogwu though, which is a quite a specific type of fast and light footed dance/acrobatics. It's good they are trying though.
@stellaokafor61204 жыл бұрын
I swr dancing atilogwu in my secondary school days was a lot tasking..we would train all the time even on Saturdays and it would be the fastest it can be so if they ever reduce it you will dance efficiently but it was still fast..when we finished we would be breathing like goats on Christmas morning

Don't confuse it with KPOKITI, though. I went to an all girls secondary school in Nigeria and our school cultural group danced it like this, although with many more routines. Many, many years ago.

Just a tip of where African American rhyme of R&B came from...Igbos of Nigeria. You need to see the authentic one danced by the natives. You need to watch ,war dance, okworo ogbuo,Okosha, egwu ukwu, egwu amara , Ngelenge to mention a few. Rhythm lives in southern Eastern and South, south Nigeria.
