@ Home of entertainment, there's nothing wrong in investing in any other state except your state, just that some Nigerians treat others as if they're not from same country which is racism. This violence that was meted in Ibo's in Lagos is a big eye opener to a lot. Ibo's will hardly give their hand in marriage to a Yoruba man going by this recent event, because the woman's children will be treated differently in the future. This means that lots of relationships will be troubled by this recent events and future relationships will also be affected. It's quite a shame that a fellow Nigeria can treat a fellow Nigeria the way they did during the election period.

Let's not forget Calabar too was Capital of Nigeria before it was moved to Lagos, and we don't hear Cross River doesn't belong to the Calabar people. I heard from a first hand source about what happened during the Biafra war. Igbos will never learn. If I may ask, how many major investments belong to an Hausa, Fulani or a Yoruba man in the East? But the Igbo man will built companies in Lagos, in Kano, in sokoto, etc. I love what you are saying, but the truth is that Nigeria can never be one. The Igbos are gifted, until they think home, they will keep on coming back to square one to begin. I hate nobody from any other tribe outside the Igbo tribe, but until equity comes back to Nigeria and some of those devils holding political powers are thrown down, tribalism won't end in Nigeria. But for the main time, let the Igbo man learn. They are always on the receiving end. It's foolishness that will make a man keep putting his hand in a snake 🐍 hole and receiving same bites by the same snake and then he tries to give excuses for it and continues to repeat same process. The person will probably die from the venoms. I am not of the opinion that Nigeria should divide, but for now that we are trying to accomplish oneness, let Igbos think home.

Calm down. The nonsense that Lagos is no man's land was becoming louder in the mouths of the Igbo living in Lagos at the pleasure of the Yoruba. The Ohanaeze never came out to condemn the rubbish and call Ndigbo to order. The Igbo then upped their game and attempted to impose a nominal Yoruba incapable of speaking Yoruba on us in Lagos just because the Igbo thought they could weaponise their huge presence in Lagos and the SWest. Is that how a reasonable guest behave in the home of the host? All just because the Yoruba allow the Igbo to thrive in Lagos ?

Yoruba don't appreciate or understand Thier cosmopolitan city status is due to having the most active sea port and government won't invest in other ports in Nigeria why else are people here? You think they love Lagos?. Every country has a cosmopolitan economic active center that attracts everyone and Lagos is such in Nigeria. I hope ibo learn Thier lesson with this.

Thank you Bro.Joseph for your wise words! I'm Yoruba but live in the West/diaspora. This is the right narrative we should all be peddling at this divisive period. PLEASE, don’t allow our common enemy: the Fulanis and their enablers in the North and the South of the nation, to cause division. It was the same tactics that was used to divide and conquer the indigenous Northern, Middle belt and Southern Nigeria. If you can discern and REMEMBER clearly, it was the same scheme that was devised in turning the nation against the Igbo and consequently led to the Biafran war. It’s regrettable that approx. 3M innocent Nigerians perished…for that reason alone; I cannot go against Ndi Igbo. Don’t fall into the trap that Yorubas and Igbo hate each other… whilst our real common enemies are laughing at us. Please note that both Yorubas and Igbos have been praying and fasting together, here in the West, for more than two years, that the Lord manifest a ‘New Nigeria’. It’ll come to pass in Jesus name. Be wise. Chose your word wisely.

Not a single word about Nnamdi from him. So Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra struggle are now history? Sad! Each time the Igbos are reminded that they are not equal citizens in Nigeria, you will see Joseph and like minds lamenting, the moment the situation is calm, it is business as usual until the next crisis. Why will anybody take them seriously?

Thanks bro for your insightful and encouraging advice. However, I beg to disagree that politicians should take full responsibility for physical and economic attacks on Igbos in Lagos Every adult over 18 years knows what's right and wrong. The people's burning down multimillion dollars Igbo market knew it was wrong. Would they want their businesses to burn down to the rubble? No Second, we've the same evil politicians in all geopolitical zones in Nigeria and yet Nigerians in those regions didn't let them weaponize them to attack Yorubas living in their regions not even in the North. Where's personal responsibility and accountability? Sweeping the crimes of these bigots under the carpet while blaming politicians alone is why Nigeria is in a mess. You can't tell a District Attorney in America. You killed someone or burnt down properties because politicians instigated you as an adult. Why aren't Nigerian in other regions physically attacking Yorubas in their regions? Do they have nice politicians? Out of the abundant of the heart the mouth speaketh. Let's not fool ourselves. Zik was full of love and naive and his mistakes is part of the reason the Igbos are suffering today.. Awolowo orchestrated the War time SURRENDER BY STARVATION POLICY THAT DECIMATED 2.5 MILLION Igbos in that infamous genocide. After agreement with Ojukwu in Aburi conference we'll fight together to free ourselves from Northern Domination. When people are ignorant of history the same diabolical events will continue to repeat itself. People can work together to fight our common enemy, which is our politicians, but with great caution and clear boundaries. As older Nigerians with knowledge of history, we're obligated to transfer that knowledge to the younger generation. What's going on now, is the Yorubas alliance with the North to alternate Nigerian presidency at the expense of the Igbos. They viewed their common enemies. But Yorubas will soon or later learn in a hard way.

Is Lagos the only state in the south-west? How many Igbo shops were burnt in Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti? By the way, what's the population of Igbos in Lagos? At the most, one-tenth of Lagos population is Igbos! Why are you then are assuming it's Igbo votes that would have elected the governor? If you stop being blinded by your own clandestine bigotry and reason clearly, you will see politicians for the desperate and demonic animals that they are, who will hijack power at any cost, including taking lives. The thugs/agberos in Lagos are part of the unofficial governance of Lagos, that's why they are so bold and they will never agree to be dislodged easily. This is the way thiefnubu set Lagos up since he a*sasin*td Funso Williams to snap power after 1999. But angry bigots like you are too blinded to see the issues at stake. It's the Yorubas, not the Igbos, that are responsible for the success of Labor Party in the south-west. I just pray Obi is successful in the court/tribunal bcos he is the only hope for ridding Nigeria of these monsters. The Yoruba bigots + the Igbo bigots should leave Nigeria for us. They can go and create their own country!

@@afrikanheritage99 However; Ojukwu insisted on taking the war to Lagos being the seat of the Federal government. Coming through Oore. The Biafra army was beaten back at Oore; the Late David Banjo paid the ultimate prize for similar dissent. Executed by firing squad by Ojukwu. Also, we would have yet been fighting that war till today if not for that drastic approach by Late Chief Awolowo. (The Anglo-America on one side, French/Russia on the other side). We were fortunate America was bugged down in Vietnam during those dark days.

Have never seen someone so funny, goofy and lack of knowledge as you Naija princess or whatever you call yourself.... First of all how can you even be comparing the American democracy to that of the Nigerian democracy when Zik the man you paint perfect that is so much filled with love in your own words" discentralises power from Regional zones all for the purpose of ruling over all Nigerians as a whole including the people of kings who were the Yoruba's. Since you claim you know history then why don't you tell the whole Nigerian people or the world about what you Igbo's did to the ruling tribes during the 1966 igbo coup since you claim Awolowo masterminded the cease food agenda that leads to genocide??.... You see in this world there are repercussions to whatever we do as a human being, it's something we just cannot escape no matter how long it takes. Please what do you expect will happen after Ezeogwu Kaduna wiped out both the Northern leaders and the Yoruba leaders in the 1966 Coup??? And this was the same coup where you igbos place your own fellow Igbo man called Aguiyi Ironsi into power as the head of state after the tribalistic Assassination of good vibrant men, "please tell me again what are you really expecting will happen after all this atrocities committed by the Igbo's??? For you Nnamdi Azikiwe may be your beloved father as you claim but to me, he is a devil reincarnated human being in a human skin. This was the same man who collided with the Northerners begging them not to let the Yoruba rule by all cost after the west took second position in the first ever election carried out in Nigeria after the british left. This same devilish man got Awolowo jailed after he got to know that Awolowo finally found out about how he embezzled saved funds that was kept in his care. Your beloved zik was also the man who ran like a mouse to the North begging them to divide the western lands simply because he doesn't want them to flourish in any other elections in Nigeria. Of course his request was granted and the Western region was finally divided into two parts, the second part now known or named as the South South Region of Nigeria today. All this fact are in the archives and i wonder why you left it out since you claim you do know more about history. On the other hand you talk about Yoruba's not been prosecuted in other part of the country....Please tell me how you really expect that to happen when the Yoruba's do actually respect themselves wherever they're. Ask any tribe in Nigeria if any Yoruba living in their territories have once ever make an allegation that their lands belongs to no man or for a selfish reasons carry out any behavioural misconduct on their lands?? I bet you won't find none... Besides even in the North that you mentioned, the Yoruba's will never do anything to jeopardize their relationship with the Northerners whatsoever bcos we are law abiding citizens and we know our boundaries. And you surely can't suddenly lie to me now that there are Yoruba's living in the East apart from our Youth corpers posted over their. It's clear from the onset that you people don't like the Yoruba's so that's why you can't find many in your so called Eastern Region. Infact Kwame Nkruma the president of Ghana at that time once ask your beloved Zik that what have this people done to you that you hate them so much but Kwame said Zik couldn't give him one specific answer till date. And now, you do have the effrontery and audacity to say Awolowo masterminded a genocide after your Zik have been prosecuting the Yoruba's right from the very start and even before the Biafran war. Even the Biafran so called war was caused by your racist tribalistic ignorance which lead to the revenge of a republic. So don't you dare come on here to patronize the ignorant people who knew nothing at all about the history and how you Igbo's destroy Nigeria from the start with your tribalistic ways till date. From the way I see it, the only way we can move forward from all this is very simple, and the answer is "RESPECT".... We have to respect each other for us to be able to live as one. The Igbo's have been disrespecting the Yoruba's on their very own territory for far too long and it needs to stop now for peace to reign. Bcos if the Igbo's cannot dare do this in the North then what makes you think you people can do it to us here in the west. Therefore that been said, Lagos belongs to the Yoruba's not the Igbo's, stop disrespecting the Yoruba's on their soil for peace to reign, it's just that simple. Naija pricess I think you're saying it the other way round cos if you Igbo's don't stop your bigotry in another man's territory then you guys are going to learn the hard way. Just learn how to respect us on our own lands, it's that simple.
