Remedy games have so much love poured into them, and it shows. You always can feel the creators behind the curtain, having fun with it. Feels llike very few other studios have that.

Control deserved more attention in my opinion when it was released. The gameplay is great, but it’s concepts and zaniness, bizarre comedy and creepy pasta taken to an amazing level is just so unique in mainstream gaming. It’s like if you’ve put David Lynch, Nicolas Refn and Denis Villeneuve making a videogame together.

@@ChimchimchuI mean there are many direct references to Twin Peaks in Alan Wake 1 & 2. Just look at the Diner, it's almost a replica. Or the parallels between Log Lady and Cynthia Weaver with her lamp in Alan Wake. You can find whole articles and videos pointing out all the references to Twin Peaks.

@user-yt6bj5hz7c exactly. It does take some patience and a capacity to cross all the references and pieces of lore though, which is not for everyone. It just requires more attention and absorbing the lore more than most mainstream games and most people will not have such patience.

It's by far my favorite game, all the environmental storytelling, helping you unravel the mysteries of what happened in events of the game, but never actually showing exactly what happened, leaving it up to you, the player, to come to your own theories, and how there's all these nonsense paranatural scientific explanations that somehow make perfect sense, and the badass jedi-like powers are a huge bonus

Totally agree! People gloss over it mostly because it was so hardware demanding on release. If you want to fully understand the lore of Alan Wake, Control etc the most interesting aspects can be found in Quantum Break.

The way that Quantum Break is underrated is almost criminial. Easily up the with Control. And the story and specially the visuals are top notch. I'm pretty sure it woul've received better, if it was not exclusive to Xbox but rather to PlayStation. 2015 was a rough time for Xbox One (rightfully so, but that doesn't make this Remedy game bad).

He’s like the underrated hideo Kojima but what differs him to Kojima is that he always doesn’t let his remedy team feel left out since he always says “we” and refers to specific people who helped out so basically he is a humble person another thing that differs him from Kojima is that he has a loving personality and always cares and really appreciates fans who play remedy games.

Remedy is exactly the type of developers we need in 2023. They're not afraid to be experimental and to have fun with games and story telling. Quality wise, they are beyond any other developer in the industry. Looking forward to diving into Alan Wake 2 and reliving the moments in Max Payne when the remake releases.

It's so inspiring that Sam has such energy and interest in every project after so many years! Max Payne was one of the first PC games in my life, and it was ideal for that time even for a 12 years old boy who obviously wasn't able to fully uppreciate this masterpiece. And Sam still brings his passion and vision to us in different ways, this man deserves respect.

first things first Controls Ashtray Maze is truly one of the greatest level designs in gaming in my opinion from music, Gameplay to level design per perfection. secondly wish Quantum break was apart of the same universe as AW & Control. that being said truly happy Remedy getting the opportunity to do remake of max payne and sequels to AW & Control.

Control is a masterpiece! The world is steeped in incredible lore and characters. the presentation is exquisite both from a visual/audio technical standpoint as well as the general aesthetic. Strong gameplay with some incredible moments. Also, Ahti with his Finnish idioms might just be one of my favourite characters of all time!
