Colin Farrell did not get the recognition he deserves for this role. Everyone's been talking about Pattinson and Kravitz and Dano, but Farrell was the best out of all of them. Colin’s commitment to play Penguin was absolutely breathtaking. He wasn’t even recognizable as himself and literally was a whole different actor that actually played The Penguin very well. Props to him and to the makeup artists for transforming him into a comic book accurate Penguin, even when we had doubts about Colin’s portrayal of the Penguin in terms of getting the look right

Maannnn… if either Colin and the make-up team aren’t at the least _nominated_ , let alone _win_ an Oscar for their work on The Batman, then it’s official: Academy don’t love the comic industry.
