In today's Daily Fix:
The Nintendo Switch has broken records left and right since its launch in 2017, and it's continuing to do so. The hybrid console now has the title of 'longest-running console without a replacement' in Nintendo's history, going for 2,688 days and counting. The NES had a run of 2,686 days but the Super Nintendo was launched in the 90's to overtake it. A successor has not yet been announced, so the Switch will be adding to its record until then. In other news, the original 2D Fallout 3 is now playable thanks to a mod for Fallout 2. The 2D Fallout 3 was never released as development was switched to a 3D perspective. And finally, Analogue has launched another version of its popular Analogue Pocket, this time in all aluminum and sporting a hefty price tag.

Switch being so underpowered has worked in Nintendo’s benefit in the long one since they don’t need to spend as much to make their first party games and they can actually make a profit, something that Microsoft/Sony have struggled to do this generation

Also Nintendo knows what they are doing with their first party games for example we got totk last year now they give us another zelda games this time with playable Zelda. This is what Sony should’ve done with their first party games instead they rather waste all their resources into remaster 3 year old game. They should’ve take notes from Nintendo and do their own spin off games.

Switch is both a console and a handheld. As a handheld, it's not surprising that it has sold well because literally it has been held well.

I’m a fan of Nintendo Switch. My favourite Nintendo Switch games are Ultra Street Fighter 2, Super Mario Oddysee, Red Dead Redemption, Sniper Elite V2, Doom, Mortal Kombat 1, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga collection, Super Smash Bros and Gargoyales Remastered

Say what you will about how underpowered the system is, ive enjoyed many of the switch's library from old ports to new exclusives the console was given. And as a returning nintendo fan, this console has offered alot of content for me to play with.

AAA games are so unsustainable and too ambitious! Filled with microtransanctions and horrible DLC practices. If the gaming companies keeps this up we might have another videogame crash. Thank goodness for Nintendo! So yay for the Switch!

And it still feels new. My only problem with it is the lack of exclusives. All the great games on the system are from the Wii U. Breath of the wild, Mario 3d world, smash bros, Mario kart etc

Stick drift happens on a lot of controlers with analog sticks. It's not just a Switch problem.

Also a problem with PS4/PS5 controllers. Then there's the stick durability issue. Also PS controllers have awful batteries that eventually die and you need to buy a whole new controller or risk taking it apart to put in a new battery. Playstation has problems. The battery thing is the most common.

Yeah and the 360 and PS3 were also around for too long. Because those are the beefier consoles they HINDERED gaming for years. The 360 and PS3 were a BURDEN on gaming. Wouldn't have been a problem if they just brought out the next gen two years earlier at the most. Then there's the PS2.....
