The Acebeam X70 is the newest brightest production flashlight in the world. It's 60,000 lumens beats the 53,000 lumens of the Imalent MS12. This full review of the light tests nearly all of the runtimes, demonstrates UI operation, tests output levels, and more. There is also a big beamshot section featuring quite a few other bright torches like: The Acebeam x80, x45, the Imalent DX80, the Silent Thunder Ordnance Storm of Ra, Zebralight SC600, and the Noctigon Meteor. This is one of the most complete video reviews you'll find of this light, I hope you enjoy.

How did I miss this video being posted! I have now turned on notifications for your channel, won't miss the next video. Been waiting for a new flashlight review from you, great review as always. I appreciate your detailed reviews but if you had to drop the run time tests in order to save time and get more light reviews out, I wouldn't mind. I feel the lumen and throw testing, beam shot comparison, size comparison next to other lights and your thoughts on the light are the most interesting. Thanks again!
@AdvancedKnifeBro
@AdvancedKnifeBro 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah the runtime tests are hell on my camera.... a lot of people say they like them though. Doing turbo makes a lot of sense, because thats the mode by which lights are judged. Maybe I don't need to do the other modes though. I mean- I just charge the damn batteries and don't stress about it... but some people really get caught up in runtimes.
@jordanZHP
@jordanZHP 5 жыл бұрын
Advanced Knife Bro I enjoy the runtime tests as well. Knowing that my DX80 can do 5000 lumens for 2 hours is good info IMO. Just trying to think of ways to save you time and get more flashlight videos. Maybe turbo runtime only would work, as you mentioned.

Also, side note; it's almost surreal that this has been produced. I've been incessantly begging on every large light review/preview all over the internet for the past 4 years for a light exactly like this. Large reflector for throw in the middle with high output/small reflectors (or TIR array) around the outside. It just warms the cockles of my heart to see my dream light come to fruition. I was going to sell lights to buy more video games but now I'm conflicted. I so don't need it and have almost completely fallen out of the hobby of collecting barn burners but this thing is so sexy. I told myself I'd never get another floody light since I decided that throwers were my thing a couple years ago but after getting the GT, K70, TM16GT and several other smaller throwers I kinda feel the need for a hybrid for some stupid reason. Again, kudos my man.

@@AdvancedKnifeBro Btw the jokes are getting better as well. The dry sarcastic wit and self deprecation is always appreciated. lol It's just very streamlined. Not a lot of unnecessary banter like most people do as if they just want to hear the sound of their own voice or pad the runtime with 99% opinion. You give your take, give the numbers, throw in some hahas and get out. I can always count on not having to rage quit chrome from listening to someone say 17 thousand adjectives from a 3rd grade spelling bee. Being someone with a background in film, graphic and web design, video and audio production, it's just refreshing to see no-nonsense consistent production value. TBH, I wish you reviewed video games as well. :P What cameras do you use? From just looking at it I wanna say either a Sony or Panasonic. Just an educated guess. P.S. -Love your beer reviews! This alcoholic (*connoisseur*) approves. ;)

Sometimes I feel like they move a little too fast... but then when I slow them down they feel boring. I look at it like this... if someone misses anything- they can pause and rewind it. It's a balance I try to strike between the casual viewer and the gear nerd. I think it favors the gear nerds, but maybe some people who stumble upon them get enjoyment out of them. I love video games.... I have thought about this many times... but I rarely have a quiet house... and was always worried about copyright hits. It's still a possibility in the future, just not right now. I have hundreds of classic games, and over a dozen modern and old systems... so I have a hell of a library to choose from.

I was kind of expecting it to be built into the head like OLight's X7R. I've tried to think ahead to what would come next in active cooling and I never once imagined this approach. I respect Acebeam's ingenuity on this one. They make superb products and I'm very satisfied with mine. I can't wait to see some closed loop water cooling. I imagine that's what is coming up next. Imagine something like a Corsair H100 strapped on this badboy with piping running through the head fins and the fan/radiator put on the handle.
@AdvancedKnifeBro
@AdvancedKnifeBro 5 жыл бұрын
The fan works well... it could be more powerful, but I really like the attempt... imagine if Acebeam went the fan route, and started making all their lights compatible with this fan, and employing the dynamic thermal regulation... it would take some machining tweaks, but I could see this fan being versatile... it sort of works on the BLF GT- but that light it's kind of useless on.

So does that mean, whenever the flashlight has still green light meaning relatively full charge battery: you can technically have high tier 60~40k lumen range as long as the flashlight is cooled off and turn on again? or once you reach that maximum 4- 55second limit it no longer goes back to highest lumen ever again even after cooling it off?

@AdvancedKnifeBro

Absolutely. I mean it depends on how youre using it. If you in a large area, then the light tends to scatter around a bit, so it still looks brighter than other lights, a lot brighter. If youre in a small area with a lot of white walls the effect is worse.

I don't think it's possible to be consumed by primal anger any more than being woken up when you really shouldn't. Cool light

Very informative documentary, well organized. You just talk too fast so at times it's hard to get what youre saying so I have to listen closely or rewind. Im definitely interested and this cool monster light is definitely on my list of next lights to buy.

Thank you. I generally had complaints when I talked slower that the reviews are boring, or I sounded depressed. I have tried to make the commentaries more fun because of user feedback. I get very few people saying I talk to fast- however I will try to avoid some fast talking like I did during the runtime section in the future. I really value peoples time, and pay attention to the pacing of these reviews. You'll find quite a few longer reviews of this light, with much less testing.

The biggest flaw, they should have made the battery pack externally instead - clip it on to your belt, or put it in the backpack rather than having the increased weight to hold the batteries in your hand, when you already have a separate handle! like an upgraded Olight x6, having a light fully dedicated towards cooling instead!

Wow, I have that Zebralight model you are comparing it to. I thought the Zebra was a pretty good light for outdoors. Now, you have completely destroyed my manhood. Thanks a lot, dude. Oh, BTW, that shadow following you at the 1 minute mark scared the crap out of me. I think death might be after you. Watch yourself.

Cool review, I liked the smoking pile of leaves at the start. And how you're being stalked by your daughter that probably is using something brighter than the average person today has in their house. Got some really mixed opinions about their construction, ideally that handle would've integrated a connector of some kind that eliminates the need for a battery, allows you to switch modes and turn the light on and off. This makes it seem more like a third party attachment than the manufacturers own designed thing. Maybe they'll do better in the future with stuff like that. Beyond that the functionality is nice, mode spacing seems reasonable and the beam profile is useful if you want for example to light up a football field from a rooftop. I don't think I'll ever get one of these, but seeing them tested is enjoyable. My practical needs are served with a nitecore tube on my keychain as emergency option and a compact zebralight sc64c for daily use. If I go for a walk I'll bring my sc600Fd or the venerable h600Fw mk2 which both have a nicer beam profile with less of a distracting bright hotspot. The BLF Q8 if I want to generally make a lot of light in an area for a while (nice ceiling bouncer with a decent runtime too). In general given how long they can run on a single battery I'm not really inclined to say that I truly need more (just bring 1 or 2 spare batteries and don't leave the house with a more than half drained battery). For less practical things I have my Olight M3XS-UT to verify from my upstairs window if the trees in the distance are still there or not at night, a SC600w Mk IV Plus (neutral white XHP50.2) which is great fun to produce a stupid amount of light for a brief period until it gets too warm (but not that useful at lower levels, tints seem bad compared to xhp35 imo). I am kinda curious what kind of thing the Zebralight sc700d and its xhp70.2 will be, but I have more useful fun things to buy first and don't want to have to buy 21700 batteries.
