RIP Gabe. We'll never forget how you got hit by that rock and your head exploded like a balloon filled with raspberry marmalade :(
But why did it happen?
How does Ethan feel about losing a second dad?
Will Alex be able to girlboss her way to the bottom of the Typhon conspiracy? Or will she simply blunder around like an even less empathetic version of Sherlock Holmes?

Typically roasting at a funeral can be viewed as good. I know people roasted my uncle for his funeral. Also people just typically resort to referring to things they did for them that they appreciate so I don't know why it's being viewed as "me me me" when they're just relaying a form of their appreciation for their actions

@@nuuuuuuuutA funeral is a sad event to honor the dead. A wake, which is what was happening, is a more cheerful event to commemorate their life - typically there's booze involved. Depending on the type of person, roasting can absolutely be appropriate at a wake.
@coletrainhetrick
@coletrainhetrick 2 ай бұрын
@@nuuuuuuuut you seem to not comprehend humanity. It's very common, levity in general is used to make mourning easier, and someone saying "worst bartender ove ever had" is indicative of endearing friendship since after all he's at the funeral and he's not singing his praises as the obvious solution. People quite literally riff and roast at any given opportunity after someone has died, like discovering they had a secret recipe while clearing their house out and notice its just mostly butter so everyone takes turns playfully mocking The dead. I don't see how you don't realize this is a thing

@@onlyonewhyphy They almost exclusively have cognitive empathy. Which is entirely about interpreting subtle clues and swift character analysis. Although psychopaths fit here, much better. Sociopaths usually have, at some point, experienced emotional empathy. Before being severely traumatized in early childhood, until, depending on predesposition and context (details are decisive), the brain changes in structure to the point of muting, but not fully removing, emotions. Sociopathy is a complex spectrum disorder, with horrible causes. Psychopathy is... inherent. A pre-developed predisposition. And more pronounced in how muted the individuals are.

Bro, if your company is "put in jeopardy" by a few hour delay on a construction project. Your company is doomed.
@MK-qj2dj
@MK-qj2dj 2 ай бұрын
well tbf, the reason the delay would put the company in jeopardy is not because of monetary reasons, but the risk of whatever they are trying to cover up in the old mine being discovered by the impending inspection. ...Granted, this begs the question of why they would wait to the last possible point in time before the inspection to detonate the mine. I assume mine inspections are scheduled way in advance, not something you decide on a whim the day before. So the plotpoint of the company wanting the detonation to go through no matter what is forced and stupid anyway. Now that I think about it, a death caused by their detonation would be the last thing the company would want, cause that would bring a spotlight on the whole thing. Which is exactly what happens in the game, without Gabe's death noone would have noticed anything about the old mine. Also, inspections are normally not carried out without someone representing the owner present, so all they had to do to delay the inspection and blow up their stupid mine later on their leasure is calling the inspector on the day and tell him: "Hey, the guy who was supposed to accompany you got sick, mind if we reschedule?" God that whole deal gets stupider the more you think about it.

What kind of person finds damning evidence of a corporate conspiracy to cover up the death of their loved one, suddenly screams and breaks stuff and declares that she doesn't care about all of this evidence as the victim is dead and it doesn't matter anymore, when at the funeral, her face appears to be made of cardboard. And another person sees that her friend is distraught and angry that their loved one is gone and even vengeance won't bring them back, abandons the friend because they broke the liquor bottle you were drinking. It would make sense since she seems cold and calculating half the time, and has trouble controlling her emotions when experiencing empathy. Those two completely opposing traits could make for an interesting detective narrative, and maybe give pointless ethical choices a little bit of actual weight. Like a reason for leaving that guy to panic is embracing the more logical side of her personality and that changes her or something, or maybe she would just want to continue experiencing his emotions for selfish reasons idk. And for whatever it's worth, although powers don't equate to education, when someone's having a panic attack you don't fkn grab them by the shoulder lmao and don't tell them to "just calm down" haha literally worst example of how to empathetically deal with someone feeling panicked, ironically.

the only thing i get from this story is that the kid and Mac are the only humans with emotion on it. worst thing is they tried to portray Mac as the bad guy for feeling emotion like he was angry that a guy who is closed to his girlfriend is meeting her constantly behind back and nobody tells him what's up. nobody really seems to care about is gf's foul play and her questionable reason to break with him up and her lack of any emotion. he panics after realizing despite doing the best he could to call the blast off, they did it anyway and pressure him to shut up. the kid is the only that really feels guilty for causing the death of Gabe, despite the other should feel guilty to some extend. his friend for cutting the rope, Mom for not watching her son, Alex for not making sure the kid is not going up there since she knew about his plan and so on.

Why did neither of the love interests feel like comforting the grieving girl when she had an emotional outburst over her dead brother, considering she's literally been there for everyone else doing that for them all throughout most of the game by now.

The people in this game are sociopaths lol. Imagine finding out a company genuinely killed your brother for profit or whatever and would have gotten away with it if you didn't commit serious crimes that could land you in prison. You get mad, have a breakdown and even smash some bottle against the wall because your only remaining family is dead and gone forever. AND THEN YOUR CRUSH JUST GOES "I DON'T NEED THIS" AND LEAVES THE ROOM, MAD AT YOU FOR LASHING OUT. The writers really have no idea how to do their job man.
