WOW, what a way of personalising a piece of furniture. Who knew that a cheap IKEA chest of drawers could look like that. I have to say Christina that i preferre your dresser to Daniels, simply because i think it would be able to fit into so many more situations. I loved the idea of the moulding around the edges too. It is the first time I'm watching one of your videos and clearly it was a terrific introduction. Such different examples of this contest, wonderful to watch them progress. Appreciated how you added color to the transfer making it more painterly. Since it was such a basic plain dresser adding moulds helped with the more antique design you were after. what a fun video. you both created such beautiful pieces. I'm always amazed with the colours you choose and how lovely they look together. who would have thought that Olive, emperors silk and old violet would look so nice together. i would love to learn more about colour and be brave enough to experiment with it.

Donna St Jules ... Antibes is a gorgeous colour! It reminds me old Europe places and it’s green is so inviting! It looks beautiful with a white wash to soften and age it depending on your project idea 💡 🎨🤗

@@TheReclaimedHeirloom oh that sounds like fun. I just tried my first frottage technique on a lampshade - love it! I'm looking for something else to paint now so I can use that technique again. I also aged a new garbage/recycling can shelf using black wax and then a white wash afterwards (saw it in one of Annie's books) I love it! The effect is so interesting with lots of different hues and texture.

It’s a beautiful way to add decorative ideas to box style furniture pieces and add some wonderful character! 💙😉

those ikea packages can be over whelming, but once you do one cabinet...its a breeze. I remember going nutz my first few cabinets...then it all clicked. We ended up doing about 10 more full kitchens, very fast. I only wish the quality was better, but the concept is quite amazing for DIY. That looks sweet as can be. well done. :) Once again, did you post edit the photos or did you add more finishing to the project...it looks amazing.

Yes your right about putting the dresser together, once you get it the next one is much easier! The photos can look edited but honestly with different lighting and staging can make a blended pieces have amazing highlights to a photo and compliment its colour shades! I recently painted a room white and the floor for my photos and that is even more impactful to photos to highlight a painted piece, showing the details and colour even better! Joanna Valdez ... oh and the image was actually a print I did from google search, I just search art images of the renaissance and I wanted to pick one that had the colour tones. There are so many to choose, I just printed it of my computer 😉🎨

It really shows the challenge in perspective through the eyes of others, and we wanted exactly that! The fun part is, the dresser was exactly the same so anyone can make what they want for personal decor! I really appreciate your thoughtful words and glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I’m dying to recreate the dresser that was decoupaged, I was able to purchase all the products required except for the French Linen Paint. Can you please suggest another color paint in its place. Thank You

Rochelle Pizza ... that’s fantastic Rochelle!! ❤️ You can use Coco which would also do a great job with the other colours! Coco is a bit darker ( not by much) and if you had any white you could just put a tiny amount with the coco😉🎨 If you don’t no to worry just if you did. Lisa Haywood ... Hi Lisa 👋🏻 I actually just found the image on google search , I just used the search term renaissance art and hundreds of amazing photos came up! Then I just saved the image and printed off my office computer on regular letter paper. I did size it so it used 4 sheets of paper to enlarge the image 💚💚

Journey Bruce ... super easy print , it was just regular letter paper 📝. I have a simple standard hone printer , so no specific paper required 😉🎨

At this time it is stable and I am blessed to be able to follow my dream of entrepreneurship. Tho small I refurbish furniture now I have my first 4 cans of chalk paint. I watch your videos with inspiration. Thank you
