Who bails out of a perfectly good IL-2? Sturmovik don't need no stinkin' elevator. Or rudder. . . Sucks to be a gunner - do they even give them parachutes or just expect them to hit the ground running?

I dont know why, but i always enjoy crash landing either into villages or forests. They're like, the classic crashland locations. But not like the way that your plane entirely blows up in the impact, but so that some parts of your aircraft dismount, but not the whole plane itself.

What happened to the splat captions when a pilot or gunner bails out and then hits the ground?
