ILIFE Shinebot W450 "Please empty the dirty water tank" error easy fix

This is a description of how to easily fix the dirty water tank error using electrical tape if your Shinebot W450. This will likely work with the W400 device as well, but I don't have one, so I can't confirm.

They have replaced the part on mine and it seems to have a life of around 6-8months. Will now get some electrical tape and follow your instructions!!!

I also had these errors, so far it has always helped to rinse the tank several times (5-6 times) with clean water or water with vinegar. I suspect that the sensor reacts to foam or just dirt.

Огромное спасибо! Синяя изолента рулит! :) Всех благ автору! Помогло! Если хочется оставить датчик в работе, следует хорошенько протереть влагу с контактов и обе части пылесоса, а также щель между черным и прозрачным пластиком.

Здравствуйте, Вы не подскажите, у меня аналогичный полотёр ILIFE W450, всё было нормально, в очередной раз помыл пол, промыл, протёр робота, просушил и поставил на базу. Простоял он без воды месяц примерно. После чего он мне понадобился, я в него залил воду, поставил на пол, в приложении выбрал 100% воды, 100% скорость передвижения, 100% скорость щетки, он начал работать, но воду на пол не подаёт и примерно минуты через полторы, робот остановился, сказал что ошибка резервуара с чистой водой и аналогичная ошибка выскочила в приложении. Вроде всё обычно, всё нормально, но работать с водой, робот отказывается. Пожалуйста подскажите что может быть??? Заранее спасибо.

@@user-dk7gw8dz1wкогда заливаете чистую воду, нужно нажать на чёрный кружок в углублении где резервуар соприкоснётся с выпуклой соской от помпы. Углубление находится на резервуаре в центре, вода должна вытекать свободно оттуда. Если не помогло, надо разобрать отвёрткой и почистить помпу и шланги Также если есть засорения в отсеке грязной воды, особенно в месте куда всасывается с пола, нужно все соскребать и ополоснуть несколько раз

Hey there, I don't have any specific maintenance I do with it. It is important that you clean out the tank every time and make sure that the bristles are in good shape.

Those connectors are supposed to be used to detect whether or not the dirty water tank is full or not, but obviously it doesn't work very well.

I found that just making sure the contacts are dry after I empty the dirty water tank that the robot stopped complaining.

Please be aware that using your method may cause the dirty tank to not alarm when it is full. So please pay attention to the water level of the dirty tank.

The thing about the dirty water tank, though, mopping with 1 clean tank will never fully fill up the dirty water tank. I think it's best practice to empty it every time you refill the clean water tank.

Yeah I think it's worth it, but don't expect it to replace a broom or vacuum. It helps to keep your house clean in between more through cleanings

You did not fix the issue, but stopped the sensor from operating as designed. The problem is that the sensors are detecting water. If there is water at the sensor connectors, it will say you need to empty the tank. Clean the sensor connectors on the unit and on the tank. If it still says tank is full, you need to clean the sensor inside the tank which most likely has debris there.
