ghetto bird is a *nollie* hardflip late backside 180 *on a bank* as originally done by kareem campbell. most people falsely define it as a regular hardflip backside 180 on flat or down stairs. kareem's original ghettobird was mind blowing at the time - he did whatever tf he wanted and beyond NBD it was more about kareem trailblazing a new style. afaik nobody ever did a true ghettobird ever again.

I think front 1s are the easiest trick down, over or up anything. It’s so easy to commit to. You don’t gotta worry about clipping your back truck on anything and you’re looking in front of you more so than even an Ollie.

i think a lot of the willy grind hate stems from the shame and insecurity felt when accidentally landing in willy grind pushing the right stick forward in attempt to smith or feeble grind in skate 2. when done in front of fellow skaters this can often result in an outburst or comment on how willy grinds are wack or how they didnt mean to land in one and thus only fuelling the stigmatization

I’ve seen a video of a guy doing a darkslide down a triple kink handrail at a skatepark in Paso Robles CA. There’s a difference between that and Andy Schock doing an 8 inch darkslide on a box, forcing a half flip out with both feet, landing sideways, and tick tacking away. That version is dungeon tier.

Front 180 was the first trick I learned but when I got older I realized they were fucking up my ollie's. Like i wasn't able to keep my ollie's straight and would inevitably twist an ankle or something. I haven't done a front 180 in like 7 years and my ollie's have never been better

I was a skater who had a really decent bag of tricks… and in the end of my carreer I just became a front foot impossible guy… out of nowhere. Switch, nollie, regular, merlin twist, out of a grind etc.) those where my go to circus tricks. And then I developed bipolar disorder and eventually had to quit skating because of it, and the medication. (And maybe the f foot impossibles :D )
