The packed stadium is the Tokyo Dome, capacity 55,000. They sold it out 2 nights running with completely different concert each night. Yes, they are the most popular and famous Japanese band/group in the World. An off shoot of their popularity is they opened the world to Japanese Rock/Metal bands, especially the all female bands. The trio of singer and 2 dancers is a traditional form dating from wandering singers and storytellers from hundreds of years ago.

@@UhYeahWhateverDude Well, let's see One OK Rock have Rock in their name, well Babymetal's 3rd album, as the first artist ever in whole of Asia, reached #1 at the US Billboard Rock/metal chart. The US is the country where outside music (especially non-English) has a harder time than other western countries so if done in the US this is the hardest button to button.

Babymetal is like nothing you've seen before and every Babymetal song is different from each other. You will hear everything from thrash metal to rap to folk metal and everything in between. Just to mix it up even more they will throw in a beautiful ballad or two. Babymetal is an adventure and they never disappoint. I think you said you wondered if it was ok to say they are adorable.? They call their genre of music 'kawaii metal' which basically means 'cute metal' so the term adorable is totally appropriate. 🙂

Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Galaxy. So you like a good stage show, you like something that is "outside of the box", something different and unique ... you have found all those things with BABYMETAL. On the good show - they have been nominated for over 30 international awards for things like 'Best Live Act' (among many other things) and won most of them. Right from the start they have refused to be pigeonholed as just one genre or to be put into any one box. They have about 50 songs now - every one of them is different. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but they will also mix in many other musical styles and genres with the metal - and sometimes more than just one or two into just one song. There is no other band like them, so yes they are unique and different to anything else you have seen or heard. Some have tried to follow along with what they do, none have come anywhere near. BABYMETAL are Su-metal (now 23) and Moametal (now 22) - the third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues and had not fully recovered so was still unable to perform, so she announced she would be leaving the band and hoped to follow her own long held dreams. Since the start of the 2019 tour Su and Moa were supported in live shows by three dancers (the Avengers) who took turns to dance in the third spot (they did not have any vocals). They are Kano, Riho and Momoko - Riho is now a solo artist, Kano has her own group @onefive, Momoko recently took part in an audition-reality show in Korea. So you asked "were they put together maybe like BTS?" Not exactly. There was no pre-identified audience for what they were going to do, they weren't just picked to fill spots following a formula guaranteed success and to make money. Their agency actually thought the producer was mad and that it would be a short-lived and failed experiment, but there was no financial risk to them as the girls were all members of a bigger Idol group (Sakura Gakuin), so they allowed him to go ahead with BABYMETAL as a sub-unit of that group. When they started in 2010 they had no budget from their agency, this was the pet project of just one man (a lifelong metalhead with a great love and respect for metal) based entirely around the vocal talents of Su-metal, the lead singer. He saw her with her previous Jpop group (when she was still only 10) and thought her vocals too powerful for pop and that she could front a metal/pop fusion band. He added her two good friends Yui and Moa as her support with backing vocals, harmonies and interpretive choreo - they are so much more than dancers, they lead what the Japanese call "ai no te" which is all about involving the audience, leading them in chants or where they should sing along and acting as the bridge between the band and the crowd so everybody in the arena becomes a part of the performance. They had to be self-funding (they even borrowed clothes to make their costumes for their first shows with the parent Idol group - the other sub-units had theirs paid for) as no agency in Japan in 2010 would have invested in metal as there was virtually no market for it at that time, but under the umbrella of the Idol group there was no risk to them if it didn't take off or just failed. So they sang their songs and danced to a backing track with pre-recorded instrumentals and they started to gain a small following. They started to play their own shows, starting off in warehouses and tiny venues with a capacity of 150-250 people and they played the food hall at a metal festival. As they gained more popularity a little more budget was made available and late in 2012 the live band (the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians) were brought in to play the encores in a couple of shows and they played at a couple of festivals with BABYMETAL. In 2013 Su was 15 and it was time for her to graduate from the Idol group (it had a school theme and was for girls aged 10 to 15) and it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right. In December 2013 she turned 16 and the final step was taken in the transformation of BABYMETAL from sub-unit of the Idol group to independent band and the Kami Band became their full time support in all live shows early in 2014. They have been with them ever since. So in the 11 years since they started they have grown from a virtually unfunded sub-unit of a Jpop Idol group to become the most successful Japanese band (of any genre, not just rock or metal) internationally (there are bigger and better known bands in Japan, but outside of Japan most of those bands are virtually unknown). They have done world tours every year since 2014. In 2019 they played 20 headline dates in 15 States all round the US ending with their first US Arena show at the Forum in LA and early in 2020 they toured many of the countries in Europe and the UK ending with shows in Petersburg and Moscow in Russia. They were the first Japanese band to headline Wembley Arena in the UK, they sold out the Tokyo Dome (55,000 people) two nights running, they are the first Asian band ever to have an album at Number 1 in the Billboard Hard Rock Charts and they are now one of the very best live bands in the world.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 All the videos on the "KuroKiitsuneSama" Channel are fan compilations. This one has footage from ten different concerts (2013-2020). The audio was from BIG FOX FESTIVAL (October 2017). I was thrilled when they brought 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' back during the 2019 tour, and I was finally able to see it live at the LA Forum concert. 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' was one of their early hits. Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the single and video were first released. It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to. At that age she was on stage, rather than taking the train to see concerts like the girl in the song. : ) There's a fair amount of complicated wordplay in the song, like "ichigo" meaning "15" (1+5), "strawberry", and "once in a lifetime", but essentially it's about the ephemeral nature of youth. And hanging on to those moments that will never come again. The music video is also definitely worth while. There are really only a handful of BABYMETAL music videos with stories, rather than concert footage. And as you've seen, they really shine at their live shows.

Great reaction. You get it. Not everyone does. It's about the contrast between cute and heavy. I love them so much they're like my daughters. :) For you I recommend 'Doki Doki Morning' official. It's their very first song and first music video. They are so young in it. They didn't make a full album of songs all at once. So Doki Doki Morning is quite a bit older than even most of the songs on their first album.

My first exposure to the girls was their song "Give Me Chocolate", and I admit to not really getting with it, at that time. Jump forward to now, and I got back in, largely due to reactions, actually. And now I see them as the unique, hard-working, crazy awesome band they are! And so I also pulled my daughter, and with her, my wife, into "The One". So welcome to the Fox Hole! Good reaction! It's always great to see reactors who actually have something interesting to say about what they're watching, and I love that you went back through the video a bit to illustrate your point. You clearly enjoyed yourself! :) For your next reaction, I'd recommend either the official MV for Megitsune or Rondo of Nightmare live at Budokan Black Night. You hit the nail on the head that the appeal is in the mix of cute and heavy, and analoguously pop and metal. You're also absolutely right that they're on another planet - Babymetal is absolutely next-level in terms of the amount of effort they put into their music and shows. Babymetal was indeed "put together" by a producer - Key Kobayashi or 'Koba' - but it's not a cynical money grab. Koba is a lifelong metalhead who got a job working in the idol industry and had the idea to combine his job and his passion. He discovered Suzuka Nakamoto singing J-pop for an anime when she was about 10 years old and realized that her voice, even at that young age, would be perfect for metal. Long story short, he formed Babymetal around her, with Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi as dancers, backup singers, and hype women (as you saw a bit of in this video). They started off very small, releasing some singles here and there, performing on small stages with only a backing track for the instrumentals because they couldn't afford live musicians at the time. Six years later, they were playing a sold-out show at Tokyo Dome (the stage in the stadium you wowed over when you paused that one time) with 55000 people in attendance - twice in a row. I look forward to seeing more reactions from you!

I thought it was this compilation when I saw your thumbnail. The stadium when you paused is the Tokyo Dome where they sold out 2 nights running, 55,000 people each night. One of the original 3 girls left due to health reasons, she is now replaced by 3 different girls, The Avengers, that dance but don't sing. They did a 20 date sellout tour of the U.S. in 2019 and then came to the UK and the rest of Europe in 2020 before they had to cut the tour short. They have been touring abroad since 2014.

Babymetal is the offshoot of Sakura Gakuin and the Brainchild of Koba-Metal who centred the group around SU-METAL. But they had very humble beginnings and they took the Metal genre by storm by creating their own one of a kind music. Hell, they pioneered the genre of Kawaii-Metal. React to Rondo of Nightmare next, you can see the KAMI Band and SU-METAL at their best. They are just the greatest and every single one of their song sound so different. You won't be disappointed.

My first Metal gig was Sabbath in 1976 and my last was Babymetal in 2020, just before the world shut down. Their original Metal genre, Kawaii Metal (Cute Metal), is the most original thing I've seen in Metal since Slipknot 20 years ago. SuMetal, the lead singer, is a soprano with a C4 to G#5 range and has a Death Stare to, er, die for. They are on what their producer calls "a hiatus" until touring can take place again. Their sets and productions are often epicAF and huge so they need full stadiums to be able to afford to put a show on properly. That said, when I saw them in Feb 2020, it was a standing only crowd of 2000 with just a screen behind them and they still made it one of my all time Metal gigs. Recommendation would be for this same song, 'Headbanger', but not this compilation which is made up of some 10 different concerts as it is here, with audio from another source over the top. If you're what you called "a sucker for a good show" then you'll love a complete concert performance of this song. Here's the Legend 97 performance, which is amazing: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h6ujgsR-x7Sqp6s.html 🦊🤘🤘🦊

Really enjoyed that reaction , put together sort of . I prefer the word Precision Engineered . As mentioned Su was the inspiration for BabyMetal without her no BabyMetal. Moa and Yui where already part of a School themed Idol group called Sakura Gakuin made up of 8 to 12 members along with Su . They performed as a group and as Sub units one of them being Heavy music club ( BabyMetal) . No mass auditions like BTS. When Su left at 15 because being school themed the members Graduated at 15 but BabyMetal went with Su as her vehicle as it had become popular and was now an act in it's own right . Koba the Manager producer of BabyMetal said Su, Yui and Moa where the perfect combination thats why when Yui left from ill health condition they never replaced her they just got 3 backing dancer's rotating in 3rd spot who are all very talented singers and dancers as well but only danced never sang . My fingers have now gone numb so i will finnish by saying all the genres you mentioned BabyMetal do and some you have not mentioned they are in my opinion one of the most unique bands around no one even close❤❤❤ 🤘🦊🤘#notacult Ps as mentioned in comments try BabyMetal Reactors Resource will help you not get blocks and strikes read instructions in discription 😁

This video is a compilation of two or three different concerts . That's why they're wearing different costumes . The band behind them is the Kami band which are a group of top tier musicians who've played with BABYMETAL in their live shows from the early days on up . And as cute as BABYMETAL is they've earned the respect of most of the biggest metal band out there . They've toured with Metallica , Korn and more .BABYMETAL's concerts are always epic and the girls and band always put 110% into every performance . Their concerts are filled with intense energy and sensory overloads with massive audience participation . Their concert are a one of a kind wild and surreal experience . Also the songs lyrics and musicianship are also next level . If you react to more of their stuff , which I hope you do . Remember BABYMETAL is always best experienced live . One song I think you'd love is " Megitsume " there's a live concert video with lyrics , check that out it's a good one .

You're going to have fun in the Fox Hole. 🤘🦊🤘 This is a compilation, and I think you'd enjoy seeing a single performance of this song start to finish. And of course, most BM fans would recommend the one from the Legend 1997 concert. The ending in particular is pretty epic. It's not the only time they've done that ending, but I personally think it's the most impressive. A lot of their songs have intros by the band (called the Kami Band) where they spotlight the individual members and those are always spectacular.

You are correct, it is a compilation of a few different concerts brought together. Great reaction, you have almost as much energy and enthusiasm as the girls do. One thing I want to clarify for you (since you asked). The whole group was just an .... experiment by the creator of Babymetal. He loves heavy metal and he was the one who thought of the fusion of jpop and metal together. When he heard the main singer (Suzuka Nakamoto) sing he knew her voice was being wasted in just pure jpop music. So he created his "experiment" purely with her as the focal point. That is the short story of the creation of Babymetal.

The cuteness speaks for itself but they are the real deal. I’ve seen them in the big arenas in Japan with the full blown stage show & the stripped down shows in smaller venues in Scotland. They never fail to give 100%. True professionals.

You got it right, the live shows are intended to be surreal. A dream world, if you like. And they are both adorable and badass at the same time ! Babymetal makes the impossible possible.

The extended version (!!) of "Catch me if you can" has a fantastic instrumental intro of the four Kami Band members. The same with "Rondo of Nightmare" (with a stunning Su-Metal solo in the end). Check it out!

The two (dancers) girls are Moa Kikuchi (stage name: Moametal) and Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) are quite phenomenal 'stage generals' who lead the crowd to support their 'stage commander', Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal), lead singer. Moa and Yui are not just dancers because they both are fantastic singers themselves. If you look for Black BABYMETAL performance, it is the performance where stage generals take over the stage in the absence of stage commander. Yes, Moa and Yui have or should I say, HAD, their own songs between them without Suzuka, but Black BABYMETAL retired since Yui-Metal left the band due to health conditions. Now only Moa will switch with Suzuka when performing accordance to which song belongs to whom. However, this song Headbanger is different from other BABYMETAL song because this song belongs to all three of them (live, on record its Suzuka's). During live performances, on special occasions, after the first part of the song, Su-Metal would step down as the commander and one of the general then replacing her as the new commander. The scene happens when they are on tours and the performing date is within the proximity of Moametal or Yuimetal birthday, the birthday girl will be raised as the commander. They only do this in this song because this song tells a story about a girl who get to go to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday... so its like their birthday song for them to be sang along with the crowds to the birthday girl.

Nice reaction. Glad your giving Babymetal a listen. Moa calls them "Team Babymetal" because it takes so many people to make Babymetal possible. Moa includes the audience in that as well. Babymetal fans are called the "One". As in one with the band. So many times at the end of a Babymetal concert Su-metal will call out "We are" and Moa with the crowd will say "Babymetal". The audience is part of the show and the band as far as Babymetal is concerned. Babymetal wouldn't have gotten far with out the fans and they freely acknowledge it. And they embrace it as well. They work hard to put on their concerts. Su is a the perfectionist type. Because of this, there's a saying about Babymetal. Nothing is impossible for Babymetal. Your in for a real treat. Great staging, great singing, great dancing, the great Kamiband backing them, and the great audience interactions. Enjoy your ride through the fox whole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Headbanger (Babymetal song):- "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" (ヘドバンギャー!!, Hedobangyā!!) is a single by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. Released in Japan on July 4, 2012 in promotion for the album Sakura Gakuin 2012 Nendo: My Generation, the single serves as the third single from the debut album Babymetal. It is also the band's first solo audio release to be released commercially. •Single: Babymetal. •Album: Babymetal and Sakura Gakuin 2012. •Nendo: My Generation. •Language: Japanese. •Released: July 4, 2012. •Genre: Power Metal, Heavy Metal. •Length: 14:44. •Label: Juonbu. •Songwriter: Edometal, Nakametal, Narasaki. •Producer: Kobametal. •Narametal: (arrangement). Babymetal singles chronology:- "Babymetal / Kiba of Akiba": (2012) "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!": (2012) "Ijime, Dame, Zettai": (2013) Background and release:- Unlike previous tracks released by the band, which had her vocal recorded in segments within the songs, Nakamoto had her lines recorded in a single take several times. She had been told to sing and find a story within the music. By the time she had comprehended the story behind the lyrics, she grew capable of singing the entire song naturally. When Mizuno and Kikuchi listened to her shouting "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" for the first time, they felt as if they had seen another cool side of her, surprised by the vocal power. Additionally, the single introduced the members to the whispering style of singing, with the A-side's "Kiero!" (Disappear!) and the B-side's "Uki Uki Midnight". Kobametal was inspired to use it to contrast traditional death growls. "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" was announced as a single on April 27, 2012, with a release date set for July 7, 2012. The single was released in two versions: a standard edition, available via CD and digital formats, and a physical limited Hedo-ban ("Head edition"), which contains a CD and a "neck corset" (actually a cervical collar) for headbanging training.[5] Both editions of the single feature the songs "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" and "Uki Uki ★ Midnight" (ウ・キ・ウ・キ★ミッドナイト, "Exhilarating Midnight"), along with instrumental versions (labeled as "Air Vocal ver."). The standard version contains an enhanced CD with a bonus music video of "Babymetal Death", which can only be played on a computer. The artwork of the standard edition depicts a lyric in the song, specifically when the girl is headbanging with the corset, with the crimson-colored moon in the background, as well as the band name appearing at the top. The limited edition artwork depicts a temple scripture of the "Corset of Legend" with the song title spelled out in the middle. Before the physical international release of the song, its title was written ambiguously as either "Head Bangya!!" or "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", the latter of which is officially used in the international re-release of Babymetal and all future releases. The music video uploaded to the band's KZfaq channel initially had the former name, though it was switched to the latter in 2015; the version uploaded by Toy's Factory consistently retained the official title. Tekina Remix:- During the live performances Legend "D" Su-metal Seitansai at Akasaka Blitz on December 20, 2012, and Legend "1997" Su-metal Seitansai at Makuhari Messe on December 21, 2012, a remix titled "Night of 15 mix." was performed, containing more elements of electronic music. The former took place on Suzuka Nakamoto's actual fifteenth birthday, while the latter was the opening song for the concert. Remixed by DJ'Tekina//Something, the song was later released as part of Social Reform promotional editions of the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", and later appeared on DJ'Tekina//Something's remix album Kawa-EDM (2016), re-subtitled as "Tekina Remix". SHOWS FEATURED:- •BUDOKAN BLACK NIGHT •LEGEND - 1997 •MAKUHARI MESSE 2014 •MAKUHARI MESSE 2015 •SSA 2015 •YOKOHAMA 2015 •BIG FOX FESTIVAL •TOKYO DOME BLACK NIGHT •LEGEND -S- •METAL GALAXY - DAY 2 AUDIO:- •BIG FOX FESTIVAL Lyrics Overview:- Brilliantly disturb the legendary black hair 伝説の黒髪を華麗に乱し This crazy blooming flower disappears quickly 狂い咲くこの華は はかなく消える Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン Headbang Headbang Bang Bang Babang ヘドバン ヘドバン バンバン ババン Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン Headbang Headbang Bang Bang Babang ヘドバン ヘドバン バンバン ババン Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン Headbang Headbang Bang Bang Babang ヘドバン ヘドバン バンバン ババン Headbang Headbang Headbang Headbang ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン ヘドバン It's time to come, don't hesitate anymore さぁ時は来た もう迷わない 握りしめたの 18きっぷ To the east To the west To the south To the north Assault on Dosen today 東へ西へ 南へ北へ 今日もドセンに突撃 Good (Koiya!) Great reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL universe! So glad you enjoyed this one so much. And yes, the compilation videos are quite confusing sometimes. Specially this type which shows different footage from concerts between 2013 and 2020. So the costumes and venue constant changes. And yes, they strength are live performances. Su-metal (the lead singer) is a very special performer. I believe that, at this point, you will enjoy anything you watch next. But if you want to see more of the band, this one has an instrumental intro (and it's still so cute overall hehe...): "Catch me if you can" (Live at Budokan Black Night): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pM1oiMKblc3UfH0.html Until next time!

There were three girls originally Yui, Su, and Moa but as of 2018 Yui left allegedly for health issues. First reaction was great! I watched a video of one song from them Feb 2020, impressed as hell, and bought the Black/Red Night DVD, got sidetracked by another Japanese band as well as others, and finally watched the DVD last month, Oct 2021. Now I have 12 DVDs (at least) and I am obsessed with them. I just received the Sakura Gakuin DVD. Now all I want to do is listen and watch them and then hug everyone I see or think about. And I go back as far as seeing Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and other rock groups live in the early 70s!!! I love these girls and their love for each other is really strong and beautiful to see. Enjoy them and you will not regret it. They give you that 'feeling' that 'feels' really good. All involved in their shows are to be congratulated. Thanks to you!!

This is a compilation video of several live performances. Their performances are so well choreographed and staged that without the change of venue and costumes you might never know they’re different shows. A video editor’s dream come true. DYK there’s a music video of them performing this when the youngest was only eleven or twelve? They were in a performing arts school together. It’s totally good. And totally nuts.

These big live shows are a wonderful assault on the senses. The variety of songs and the variety within the songs keeps things fresh. This is a compilation so you got a taste of multiple shows. I'm not usually a fan of comps, but the person who put this together does a pretty good job. If you continue to react to Babymetal, prepare to do battle with the copyright goblins. The Babymetal Reactor Resource channel is a good source of material that might help.

I'm sure naming the band Babymetal was influenced by the girls being 11 and 12 when the band was formed, but its also a pun as "babymetal" and "heavymetal" are almost the same in Japanese script. You've reacted to a compilation of concert performances and so the video is a little disorienting. You might like to look at a single performance of the song. I recommend "Headbanger Legend 1997". You should also watch "Unfinished Akatsuki" and "Babymetal DEATH" also from Legend 1997 BM is the lead singer Su and Moa and Yui are the two dancers and backup singers. Their main jobs are to add highlights Su's vocals and coordinate the crowd interactions with their dancing and shouting. BM has a live backing band called "The Kami Band" and they also work with a backing track for pianos and synths etc. If you want to see more of the band then check out songs with Kami Band solos: Rondo of Nightmare, Yava, Catch me if you Can and Akatsuki. Yui and Moa perform some songs without Su to give her a rest and Su returns the favor when she sings her solos.

The compositions, arrangements, and overall preparation for Babymetal's songs and performances have no direct equivalent in rock; it feels more akin to opera. It's an incredible spectacle of heavy metal with everything (all the clichés masterfully employed). The choreography for 'Headbanger' is one of the most energetic and brutal, even when compared to pop music.

KamiBand would be the band that plays for Babymetal, the primary lead guitarist, Fujioka Mikio, has since passed away. The girls are singers/dancers/entertainers, and only two of the three in this show are still in the band. The girls were put together by Key Kobayashi for a long running Japanese Idol show where the girls join "clubs" and they were the metal club. After their first two videos went big the band was added because it was clear these girls were going places.

I found Babymetal 2 days ago, and I can't get enough of them! If you want an epic performance, look up Road of Resistance live. DragonForce collaborated with them on the song and the stage production sends chills and feelings.

being fairly new to the foxhole, I enjoy watching reactions to the songs after I see them. You have commented on Su's voice often, may I suggest you listen to No Rain, No Rainbow which is a solo by Su. and I'm sure others have said this, but It is a compilation of shows. I think there are at least 5 different ones show. and from what i read, the one with what looks like the Mother Mary behind them had an attendance of around 20k people and Su had just turned 16
