She has a really unique tone, when she goes full voice it's like THIS SATISFIES MY SOUL...really and truly and then she backs off and does the high stuff and it's another whole atmosphere. Very special woman. And she looks phenomenal for her age too. I'm embarrassed that I've never heard of her cuz she's immediately up there with my favorite singers with her tone and musicality.

She is so amazing...I can't stand the fact that she is so underrated... So many singers, who don't know even how to sing are so famous and then there are singers, I mean , SINGERS, like Chante Moore and others who deserve to be at the top of the world. Chante didn't come to play, is so difficult to change register like she does

@@obiephillips9174 is necessary discover totally an artist and everything about an artist before to say somone is overrated. Rihanna and Taylor can be considered as overrated, but I think there are two sides of an overrated artists: there is a side which few people knows, songs who very few knows, and this is the "hidden" side that every overrated artist has. Then, there is the other side, which the all the world sees, all the songs everyone knows but there are many different ways to interpret them or to interpret an artist. Even the most famous song can hide some aspects or characteristics that a normal person doesn't catch bcs doesn't have the musical ear and musical eye to understand. So yes, I think there are overrated artists, these can be Rihanna, Taylor, many others, but I don't think them as totally overrated. Ofc, they are overrated but, like every artist, they have some aspects, some songs, some part of their work that we even know

@@obiephillips9174 I know I am going to get a lot of flak for this, but I look at Ashanti and am disappointed when seeing Chante being overlooked and Ashanti has a backing track and barely sings her songs from beginning to end. They say looks play a part but Chante is beautiful so I am completely baffled.

There are a lot of women with great vocals. She has what they would call the "it" factor (looks, voice, talent), but something is missing (not sure what). Keke Wyatt can blow but does not have the hits. I love artists that can sing just like the record or better, when singing live. This is how we really find out who the artist is.

Idk about this bc some of Mariah's best music came after she evolved from the pop adult contemporary genre. I love myself a strong ballad, but there has to be more to an artist than big vocals right? That said, the ones with true talent can go "trendy or contemporary" but still return to their roots and be versatile.
