hree time world champion two time olympic champion! He made three world records at three different categories. First record he made at only 17 years just best just titan! All Kazakhstan knows that you earned all your medals with your own power. He passed all doping tests before olympic and all was clean after eight years they found doping really? It s not doping its just politics! If he competed to rio He easily would get gold so they dont want that! Iliya you are the real champ you are the living legend

He was on dope no question about that. But so was everyone else so yeah this is shitty poltics. Everyone knows that he won fair and square the gold. He is an amazing athelete that no medal striping can make him look bad.

@@JinnDante Yeah, especially at London, about 5 (I forgot the details) of the top placed lifters got banned in retests

Myself and a few teammates (track) were directly right of the platform, in the athletes seating section. Amazing to witness this live!

He is actually quite humble

Yes, definitely. Think he could've been good for 190&235 for sure.

jon north isnt cocky though. its just his stage character, he's a showman. you can tell that he is happy when other people make good lifts too. cocky people dont do that.

I think that's his charisma, his energy not ego. I know he is nothing in comparison with the elites but maybe what he does is what keeps him going and keeps him making progress. you think he doesn't know where he stands in terms of world weightlifters? he knows. but I admire him fighting time and trying to catch up even though he started really late.

Are you kidding me? If I did weightlifting for only 6 years after being addicted to alcohol and crystal meth and could snatch 366 pounds, I would lose my shit. world weightlifting or no, the guy can lift. wouldn't matter to me if I was first in the world, or 200th in the sinclair... I would slam bars and yell too.

who cares how long you train for. the only stat that matters is the weight u lift. thats like playin football against someone and losing but saying they only won cos they train harder than you do. thats YOUR PROBLEM. hence why there isnt a category for "weightlifters who only trained for 5 years or less" at the olympics.
